Hey names brandon I bought a 2010 vibe 2.4l with 5speed step tronic auto I love it more than my old 04 matrix 1.8 base ive got a few questions for those that know more than me
1 does the 2010 vibe 2.4 share all parts with matrix cause I cant find ant kind of aftermarket parts for the vibe at all evertjing is for the matrix and I really want to drop my vibe a few inches
2 that box used for the gm version of the audio system does anybody know how that works to a t I really want to keep my onstar working and my satellite radio without adding more antennas to the rear of it
3 and finally mine shifts hard most of the time and often gets stuck in 3rd gear iys only got 73k on it it had 66k 3 month's ago when I bought it
Thanks for all your help in advance

Hi Welcome
Vibe shares mechanical parts with the Matrix, only difference is the body styles
Not sure about the box
Your tranny should not be shifting hard at such 'low mileage" have you checked the fluid?

Certainly check the trans fluid to see how it is and if it is low. I would probably drain and fill it at least once with Toyota WS fluid (not GM or other fluids) since you don't know the history. The pan holds about 3-4 quarts and you could do it a couple of times to flush out more of the old fluid. It should still be under the 5 yr 100K warranty for several more months depending on the in service date so you can take it in to be checked if necessary, but they will probably want to flush it or at least change the fluid first. Mine is covered until Aug 2014 since it was sold in Aug 2009.
Good luck!

Welcome to GenVibe!
The only thing I know of that isn't doesn't work from Vibe to Matrix (2nd generation) is the cabin air filters.
As for lowering, any 1st gen Vibe/Matrix spring will work in the second gen, and just seems to lower the 2nd gen maybe about 1/2" more than specified. I am running Tein H-Tech springs right now.

Welcome to GenVibe Brandon! Everyone else has pretty much answered your questions already, so I will just ask that you post some pictures of your Vibe when you get a chance. We love pictures around here

I know for a fact that the cabin air filters are the same for the 2009-2010 Vibe and 2009+ Matrix. I bought one from the Toyota dealer and it fit perfectly. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the cabin air filters are different for first gen Vibes and Matrices though.

Ooh... another Steel Blue Metallic Vibe! An absolutely gorgeous color! My mom's 2009 Vibe GT is the same color. It's my second favorite color after Liquid Platinum Metallic
