At the top of the strut theres a 19mm bolt you take out. How do you get this out? My spring is compressed right now and i cant get the 19mm bolt out because when i go to loosen it the shock turns as well.

ok i figured it out...i need to go buy an air ratchet for this. I used to have one but it broke, would have made this whole thing so easier. For those who wanted to see where the jack stands go:

If you have an allen wrench to fit the strut post and a 19mm wrench, that works as well..

.quote:If you have an allen wrench to fit the strut post and a 19mm wrench, that works as well..The allen socket is just in the rear strut. If dmitri is referring to the front strut, you either need an impact wrench or you can crack it loose while the assembly is still in the car.

glad to hear it worked out for you. It seems no matter what the car, the impact is the way to go. Alot of the time you need an offset wrench and even then they sometimes wont get in the opening deep enough to get on the nut. That sounded bad. LOL
