Just installed a new clutch in my 03 GT. I removed the right half shaft so the trans would mate up easier. The right shaft has a carrier bearing on dowels. Does the shaft have to separated where the inner joint couples into the center shaft? Cant seem to get the inner spline to engage into the diff possibly caused by the dowels.
Does the shaft have to be installed in two parts...center solid shaft and then the outer cv shaft? thanks for any help.

Problem solved: the engine mounted bearing support for the right half shaft is a two piece assembly. By removing the two bolts that hold the halves together, the engine mount half of the assembly can be installed on the engine with the dowels used for alignment ( 3 bolts hold the bracket to the engine).
The assembly was very rusty and it was difficult to separate the halves. Once the shaft part of the support is separated the shaft slides into the bracket and into the diff very easily. Not sure, but the passenger side drive shaft must be sold with the torque steer center section as a complete assembly.
