I installed my new CAI 2 days ago and the car ran fine for thos 2 days. This morning i ran the car and the engine light came on. When i read the code it showed a P0505. So i did some research and found out it could be a dirty TB or IAC valve. Now all of this was fine before the CAI, could it possibly be something else? Idd appreciate anyone's help. Thnx

Increased airflow. Take out the TB and IAC and clean them, then see what happens. Does the CAI have an oiled filter?

The CAI has an AEM dry-flo filter. it was the CAI and Filter that were in Housofbugs vibe.

Also, did you disconnect the negative battery cable before you installed the CAI?Quote, originally posted by hapagan »The CAI has an AEM dry-flo filter. it was the CAI and Filter that were in Housofbugs vibe.I know Tim took great care of his Vibe and everything on it. Didn't the filter even have a hydro shield on it?

Have the code reset and see what happens. When I first installed the CAI I tripped the light, had it reset and it didnt come back on. Same thing happened with the TB spacer. Light came on, had it reset, never came back on...

it is idling normally so i just reseted the code for now untill i get payed and can buy a cleaner for the TB and IAC. yes Tim did have a hydro shield on it but he didnt sell it. it might have gotten damaged on the accident.

That sounds like a vacuum line wasn't plugged back in.

It's just a bug or two, once it's sorted out you're going to love it!!!

Make sure the MAF is connected well. If there is an air leak it will trip a code. I will shoot some pics of my install after work so you can check the hoses if someone else doesnt before then.

Is the hose between the PCV and throttle body still connected , or does that change with a CAI install?

im not really sure if that setup is correct. it might be wrong before installing i unplugged all the hoses and didnt keep track of where they went

It looks like the hoses are hooked up wrong. I will add some pics here in a few. I am pretty sure this is your issues....Pardon the dirty engine bay but here you go...This is where I see the issue:This line in your picture goes to the little valve block thing, and the big hose from under the cover goes here. Switch these 2 lines....

Next you will need the TB spacer. It sucks needing to cut down the CAI but it sounds even better. Sometimes it even seems to sound like a blow off valve
