shifting harsh, trans code 2716

new member here, great site for info, somone please help. 05 vibe 1.8 2wd. the codes says it's a high pressure transmission selenoid. I also got the recall letter stating when the computer starts going bad one of the tell tale signs is it causes harsh shifting. could the computer be causing the code, or do i just need to have the selenoid replaced? thanks much.
