Installing it yourself is easy! Here's where I put my sportster 5...The antenna goes well with the other two.But if the best buy install is free then let them do the work!

It's easy to install a plug-and-play unit yourself... I can't recommend you letting best buy anywhere near your car. Since you have the stock radio, you'll probably want to get the antenna relay for a cleaner signal. The transmitters in modern Sirius radios are miserable. The adapter has standard Motorola plugs, so you'll have to do a little converting (mini GM female plug to connect to the antenna lead on the car --> male motorola into the relay box and a motorola female --> mini GM male to go back into the factory radio.) That's probably the most tricky part of the install and even with that, it's only a matter of having the right stuff.

if you route your cable around your weather strip then it shouldn't be a problem.Quote, originally posted by star_deceiver »Installing it yourself is easy! The wiring for other electronics are already there (fog lights).Quote, originally posted by dragon64 »If your A-pillar airbag ever goes off your aftermarket electronics will become flying missles in the passenger compartment. Know of several cases were flying electronic items caused greater injuries than the actual accident would have just by itself.Well the plan is NOT to get into an accident.... But soon, I'm sure that there will be legislation forbidding the use of any device that interferes with driving... We've already got the cell phone/hand held device ban here, in California you can't have anything suction-cupped to the windshield, all provinces from Saskatchewan east have banned radar detectors. I wonder how long it will take them to ban the manual transmission in order to keep both hands on the wheel...Too many rules.... I dread the day self-drive cars get here, why not just take the bus...But back to the topic at hand.Quote, originally posted by oriden »Awesome. Tommrow is my weekend so I'll give it a shot! Thanks guys! How did the install go?

I have the sportster 5 as well and its dead easy to do yourself. If I can do it anyone can. I did it in the middle of the freezing cold one day in January a couple of years ago.

I helped my brother-in-law install siruis on his Kia Sedona about 3 years ago. It was a pretty simple install. Hardest part was figuring out how to pull the factory radio out LOL.
