Auto Page Text ?

Hi, Does anyone know what the setting in the radio called "Auto Page Text" or something like that is for? What is it supposed to do? 2009 Vibe.Thanks

If its what i think it is. What it does is when listening to XM and CDs it will scroll the words across the top instead of just the station its on.

Yes the auto text reveals the song titles and artists on the display.For so reason my has turn off by itself a few times.

Thank you for the responses. I knew if I posted the question someone would probably know the answer, this is a great forum.

EDIT: Since this thread originally dates back to 2009, here’s a quick modern update: if anyone today is looking for tools to make their content easier to follow, there are now AI platforms that can generate automatic subtitles. For example, automatic subtitles can save a lot of time and help make videos more accessible.

For some strange reason, this feature has stopped working on my 2009 base radio. It used to display song titles when playing cd's, and if the auto text feature was turned on it would display the cd label also. Now it doesn't display anything except the track number whether auto text is turned on or off. The stereo can read the info from the cd since the info button will display it, but no more scrolling text. Nothing in the manual to help me with this. Any ideas?

In case anyone is interested, I fixed my radio problem, described two posts up, by pulling the fuse and rebooting the radio. The fuse is located in the engine compartment.
