I have ordered a 09 vibe... some day it will come. I am looking at light mods as I drive on back roads a lot at night. $50 a set for Silverstar Ultra or so at the local store. and tehre are 3 sets needed. Now if I go with HID the best cheap ones I have found are $150 plus shipping. Worth the cost if I did all 3 sets I would be.... well broke I guess that is big bux... please let me know your thoughts

Once you go HID, it's hard to go back. I had them in my Grand Prix and now that I am back in my Vibe with Halogen, i'm hating it!! Just a matter of saving money to get them. IMO, they will be well worth the investment as long as you are getting them from a good source.

Basically, with HIDs you will always have a glare issue unless you are retrofitting a projector housing in there. The best thing to to is minimize the glare for oncoming traffic. You have have to adjust the headlamps some, but just make sure they you have minimized the glare to oncoming traffic, but still making it useful to yourself.

with HID's in my ms3 now, I would NEVER go back to plain bulbs...EVER. Aiming in mine are just like bulbs, I turn a screw driver and they go up and down, but I am not sure about aftermarket kits, make sure you research the brand before you purchase them.

I have some 35W HID's in my '09 and the pattern is good and I haven't had to adjust mine yet from the factory setting. I haven't been flashed yet.

Screw Silverstars, they blew on my every 3 months. Not worth the cost, just get HIDs from Ebay for $70

I went thru so many silverstar bulbs in the Vibe, it would have been the same for 2 sets of HID's. and all you need to get are 35W bulbs and you shouldn't have an issue with the housing. It's not necessary to do a retrofit (though it looks very nice). I bought mine for the LGT at
http://www.apexcone.com. Super cheap and pretty good quality.
