Anyone from Charleston WV?

I'm thinking of purchasing a Vibe from a private seller in Charleston. Problem is I'm in Oklahoma that's a long way to drive! Anyway, I was going to see if anyone would be interested in taking a look and test driving this car for me to get a 3rd party opinion of the vehicles condition. I'd be willing to pay for your gas and a little extra for your time.

Great idea - certainly someone must be willing to lend a hand.

I just bought a truck online in another state. Here's my ideas for you....1. You might do a search on the zipcode/City and "car inspection" or zipcode and "Pepboys" or similar garage chain and get the seller to drive it over but you call the garage and pay for the report by credit card and so you get their report faxed or emailed to you.Or you might try using http://www.carchex.com (they are nationwide)For about $100 they will inspect and test drive and give you a written report. Here's what their site says...."Order a CARCHEX 155 Point Vehicle InspectionCARCHEX will perform a 155-point pre-purchase auto inspection almost anywhere in the USA. Simply enter a zip code and vehicle information to see inspection pricing and packaging options. Our detailed auto inspection report includes the condition of body and paint, dents, scratches, rust, tires and wheels, glass, interior, missing parts, oil leaks, electrical items, and drive train performance." See a sample report on the website.Good luck.

hi AtomicVette:I live in Huntington, WV (about 45 mi away from Charleston). I go to Charleston often.I'm in the process of trying to purchase an 09 Vibe myself via a dealership.Once that process is done, I may be able to help. Let me know if you're still interested in the car.

I am not from Charleston, WV, buy I assume you are saving a bundle on the car. It is approx. 1200 miles away depending on where in OK you live. You can get some WV mud to go with the OK mud. If its an older model, you need to watch out for rust from the WV winters. Also, a vehicle search by VIN would be a requirement. I think that I would go to Auto Trader and find something a little closer to home.
