My wife has an 04 Matrix XR 4WD. Warranty is up and I would like to tweak it. It is somewhat underpowered at present. What do you suggest that I can do to get a 10 - 20% power increase without making the car too loud or breaking the bank.Apprecite your help.Greg

welcome! Fact is there isn't very much you can do with out breaking the bankLook at
http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=22889IF there is anyone who knows what you can get out of an AWD it's him... To cover the basics... there is a cold air intake you can get
http://www.cosmoracing.com/pro...=1258If you go that route most replace the filer that is supplied with an AEM dryflow filter. There isn't an aftermarket exhaust for the AWD only choice there is customAgain, welcome and if you might have any other questions you can use the search function to find most anything your looking for... and if not... post a new thread and someone will be more than happy to help if they can.HAHAHABeat me too it Brian... ^^^^the man in question LOL

Thanks, Keith. I can suggest some other things but they will definitely made your car louder. (ie: hollow out pre-cat, full 2-1/4" exhaust w/highflow cat, resonator & muffler (or two mufflers)).An intake will also make your car louder. If you want to keep it quieter try taking off the airbox snorkel that goes from the bottom front of the airbox to the front grille. If you do this also get a K&N drop in filter Part #33-2252.
