Has anyone added the Toyota Matrix alarm to a 2006 Vibe GT? I found the Corolla/Matrix instructions online but I'm not sure if all the wiring is the same in a Vibe.

Anyone? When I was looking at a Vibe the Pontiac dealer thought they could put one in, but after the purchase they said it wasn't possible. I have a GT loaded.

Not sure on the wiring. But I would think it would be the same as the '06 Matrix XRS. Someone should be able to help you out. You may want to also ask about this on

The factory alarm is not a 'slap in' alarm system. It requires things that probably aren't there if it wasn't pre wired for it, such as the wiring for the glass break sensor. I think you need a different multifunction module as well.It would be much cheaper and much less of a headache to get something aftermarket.

"It would be easier (and cheaper) to purchase an aftermarket system versus installing the factory system."

Thanks everyone for your advice. I'll look for an aftermarket alarm.
