What is your FAVORITE use for the household plug in the Vibe?

I've used mine for a laptop, razor, an AA batteriy charger, a soldering iron (while working on the car )During some protracted power outages, I've also run an extension cord into the house to power my woodstove fan, a TV, and also my cable modem and wireless router (but not all at the same time)Hard to fit all that into a single poll voteThere's another thread I remembered, SAYSF, but it's not a poll : http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=193

That's my fault. I edited and changed it from "what do you use it for" to "what is your favorite use."

One time we had church service outside in a park. When I got there I saw a PA system and amplifier plugged into a 100' extension cord running into a Vibe!

i also use it to charge my fone cuz im to lazy to buy a car charger

used it for the laptop when we drove the vibe up from Ontario.

how do y'all plug laptop's into the outlet ? my work has one, but the plug on the AC adapter is the three prong type.

Use an old-school gray 3-prong to two-blade (polarized) adapter. Works just fine! I'd post a pic but the adapter is out in the car and it's 3 AM!

I use my laptop with a GPS sensor and mapping/tracking software when I'm working on the road; I fold the front seat forward and secure the laptop to the seatback with a ratchet strap. Like the previous poster, I use an old-school three prong adapter. Saves me from having to worry about my battery, plus I have my laptop display set up to default to full brightness when it's plugged in...MUCH better for daytime use.

If you're soldering wiring, the battery should be disconnected, but even if you dont disconnect it, it certainly shouldnt be powering anything while you're messing with the wiring. just wonderin

He may have been soldering something other than the wiring...or perhaps soldering a ground connection on something while the hot lead was disconnected. May be a stretch, but it could be so...

the salemans at the ponti dealer told me i could use it for my blow dryer...i thought he was retarded and just looked at him like a idiot. a blow dryer would 99% likely blow or trip the fuse....uh salesman oh yea...WTH do i need a blow dryer for!

But I'll guarantee that using one in the recepticle will trip the built-in circuit breaker (which automatically resets itself). The recepticle is rated at one amp...a 1200-watt blow dryer draws about 10 amps (1200 watts divided by 120 volts equals 10 amps).

anybody know if it would be possible to plug in a powered sub for a computer...

If it doesn't exceed 100w, youbetcha

i just used the plug today for the first time since i've had my vibe.i have a 30 minute commute to work and we were having a thanksgiving potluck. so i whipped up some green bean casserole in my crock-pot, plugged my crock-pot into the plug and away i went.
