How the heck do you get that plastic deck off?The two bolts are a snap, but those factory clips I just can't figure out.

You have to get a flathead screwdriver and pop them out. You will be able to put them back in when done. They will only last a few times popping then in and out before they are trashed. Then you can get new ones from Toyota or just leave them out like I did. Good Luck!

I lost one of those plastic fasteners, somewhere in the engine the second time I had it off... I have since replaced both with bolts because the holes are threaded!

Kind of mostly for looks but I suppose it keep debris from sitting on top of the engine. It does have a pad under it too possibly for noise...
