The daily use of the emergency (hand) brake should keep it adjusted. The drum type can be manually adjusted, and I do not know about rear disc on this car (mine is the base model).

mine is drums in the rear...also is there a way to adjust the feel of the pedal....it always seemed a tad mushy as compared to other vehicles i have had.i like a firm almost instant grab in my brake pedal.

If they are really mushy, you could try bleeding them, otherwise there is no adjustment for pedal feel.

Bleeding them usually cures the mush, if that doesn't work you could replace the rubber brake hoses with stainless flex hose this has greatly improved some of my past vehicles. Before doing this I would check out the rest of the system.
