My wife got into her 05 Vibe this motning and found the INSIDE of the windshield iced over. When she went to lunch the inside was figgy but not iced over. We have never experienced anyhting like this before. What could the problem be?? Any help would be appreciated.BTW temp this morning was about 28F.

Mine gathers a large amount condensation on the inside as well, and I can't figure out why. It's annoying, though. It will literally start running down the inside of the windshield, there's so much water. And it tends to gather toward the bottom on mine, I've noticed. It didn't do it the first winter I had the car -- it decided to start it last year, and it did it yesterday too.

That also happened to me so I make sure the vent is closed and change the direction of the air to the floor . Sounds a little weird but it seems to work for me.

That's right.... In the winter, the floor mats tend to get soaked (snow on your shoes), and that increases the humidity inside the Vibe. The moisture will then collect on a cold surface (your windsheild), and eventually freeze.As steve said, the best bet is to direct heat to the floor and dry off those floor mats. After you have defrosted your windsheild of course.

Thanks for the info. It snowed here the other day and this is my first winter with my vibe and I noticed running marks and water marks on the inside of my windshield and back window also and couldn't figure out why or how it got there cause it wasn't there the day before. Now I know what to do.

If it is accompanied by a sweet smell, your heater core might be leaking.

If it's running down from the top of the windshield, under the roof liner, it could possibly be a disconnected moonroof drain...but that wouldn't explain rundown the back window...I don't think water would travel that far without soaking into the liner...
