My Vibe has birth defects

Hey Folks,I have a 2004 Vibe which was purchased brand new in May, 2004 and have had many problems with it.-1 water leak on the roof at the front of the car near the A pillar driver side. (Fixed)-1 water leak at the rear of the car just over the window on the driver side. (Dealer tried to fix, but had troubles reproducing)-The regular squeeks coming from the instrument panel, stereo, middle of the dash and glove box. Seems like many Vibe owners have these-Stereo will not memorize my bass and treble settingsThe list goes on and on. I'm sad that my New Vibe is demonstrating problems of a 10 year old car. To make matters worse, I have had problems with the level of service at many GM dealerships. They damaged my car when trying to fix stuff, they say they can't hear the noises that I complain about, when all of my friends and relatives can, etc. Well, I've been having another problem that the service guys "could not reproduce" even though I can every time. I was wondering if anyone has had the same issue and could provide input. On days (warm or cold) when the air conditioner is used, I can hear a strange Whirring noise coming from the engine compartment. It immediately disappears when the A/C has been turned off. The noise isn't always there when the AC is on. Sometimes it's there, sometimes it is not. However, you can reproduce the sound almost every time the A/C is on. You could be driving for a while then the whirring noise starts again. Others in the car often ask me "hey man, what's wrong with your car?" I say... lots of stuff.I've driven other Vibes and have not heard the noise. Any body hear of this problem and managed to get it fixed? I've also experienced a kind of sour vinegar smell coming from the vents when the AC is on. The smell problem has only happened a few times, but I am concerned. My GM reps have dismissed the problem, basically implying that I am an idiot. Another GM rep told me that the sound is resonance coming from the exhaust system. I then asked, if that was the case, then why does the sound disappear when the AC is turned off? No response... I'm counting on the general public to help me as it seems the GM tech's I've brought the car to are incapable of adequately repairing my car.Sigh.... wish I bought a different car...Just when I tried to leave work yesterday, it didn't start for me. All these problems and the car is only 6 months old with 6000 kilometers on it.Thanks to all of you for your help!
