I looked at the site. Interesting take on the issues. Seems a bit too cultish for me though. My opinion only.

I was like him until 2000...at which point I ONLY voted to try and keep dubbayah outta office...I thought Gore blew too...but he was the lesser of the two evils IMHO.

i believe the system mocks the intelligence of those voting. do you know how many people go into the booths and think that their vote could change who wins? why not let the pop. vote decide? let the people decide, not some politically overeducated dingalings who decide for us. let us make our bed and lie in it.

i believe that political parties are a crock as well. you belong to a group and you are their sheep. you need their support for $ and credibility. in essence, it is not always the actual candidate that matters to people, it's which clique they are in

i doubt that an independant will ever make it. too bad, though, it sure would be a fresh new start. then, the candidate can do what is best period, not what the party sustains as its values

There's nothing wrong with you reccommending that people watch the movie. I just felt people needed to know that it is mostly fiction, before they watch it. I liked the movie too, but I found out after that it was mostly staged and half truths and bare faced lies. I felt a little cheated to say the least. Here's a few examples that I can remember: When he went into a bank and opened an account and immediately recieved a gun for opening a new account. That was staged. The bank manager stated publicly that Moore asked them to allow him to stage the scene in his bank and he agreed because he assumed Moore would portray it truthfully. The bank does not and never has given a gun to a person in a bank immediately after they opened a new account. True, they did have a gun giveaway (which I find odd), but it wasn't given to you immediately as the Moore portrayed. The gun was made available at a later date, after a background check and confirmation of identity. Moore showed a scene where he claims to have walked into a K Mart and bought ammunition off the shelf from an untrained clerk. This entire scene has been debunked and denied by K Mart. Quite simply it never happened and the scene was staged. The gun show that Moore said was opened near Columbine, shortly after the shooting, never happened. It was a staged lie. His harrassment of Charlton Heston was staged, full of lies and half truths. These are just a few examples I can think of right now. I am not a gun siupporter or user. I see no need for so many guns in America, but present the facts as they are. So people, Bowling for Columbine is a very entertaining movie that I enjoyed and I give it the thumbs up. Just know that it is not a documentary as Moore claimed. It is entertainment. http://www.bowlingfortruth.com/index.htm

Citizens need to register to vote, educate themselves about the candidates, and vote. US voter turnout rates are disgraceful. Too many people don't care, don't step up to their responsibility to participate. There is a lot at stake. The last 3 years would have been different if the election went the other way. I won't say whether that's good or bad, but it would have made a big difference. Florida showed how each vote can be critical. Usually one vote doesn't matter, but it can. Your vote matters, and it will have a big impact on the country and the whole freakin' world.

It is appauling to me that I can walk down a cereal aisle and have 100 different choices, yet when it comes to the most important job in the world, I have two bozos to vote for every four years. Once again, for the 3rd straight time, I will be writing in a candidate for President (Howard Dean). Like his late compatriot Paul Tsongas, Dean speaks his mind, speaks the ugly truth, and doesn't answer to the party wonks. I continue to sadly watch this country's education system spiral into the sewer as our two "outstanding" political parties outdo each other's stupidity. Wasting my vote?...hardly....for it wasn't Ralph Nader who lost the election for Al Bore, it was Al Bore. Anyone who can't even win his own state can't be worthwhile; moreover, all those who voted for Nader would not have voted for Gore; they would have simpy joined the millions of "patriotic" Americans who stayed home and watched mindless Hollywood crap on TV, rather than move their overweight butts off of the couch to ensure their voices are heard. What a country!
