Nice to see you again! Thank you for this info. I know you gave me some details about that this winter. Badly, I still didn't have a replacement battery like you and Salsa!... Hope that a follow up will arrive in a while... before the next winter! Raging, did you talk to Jeff recently about that?

Actually, I haven't spoken with Jeff since he asked me to make this thread...Nick passed on this info to him...and is supposed to be in touch with him sometime this coming week...I'm going to print this up next Thursday and make a comprehensive list to pass on to Jeff...and I'll be sure to follow up wtih him in regards to the battery and two-tone cladding issues...

i would like to see GM get all the things everyone requested available before this christmas or atleast before spring next year. also to make body kits available in all colors not just 4 or some and i *i cant stress this enough* to get all the things everyone wants available sometime soon.
That's not realistic and you know it. Product development takes months, sometimes years...then you have to engineer the design, get it tested and approved, and then, start manufacturing.Don't expect anything by this holiday season.

i want to see a turbo system. and i want to see some lower comp. pistons so you can run high boost. and for tose people who want parts for the vibe that you can get on the matrix, buy the matrix parts... THEY FIT BOTH.P.S. - TRD is coming out with a matrix supercharger soon. check it out on the TRD website.
quote:Body kit, spoiler, and how about that hood! No roof rack or plastic clading.maybe you shoulda bought a matrix insteadLofo, wlecome to genvibe! A lot of matrix parts will fit Vibes, but I doubt if any exterior body parts would
A Duel CD and CASSETTE STEREO! How come Toyota Matrix has the option to have the duel stereo system, and the Vibe does not have the option to have a CD/Cassette combo??Anyway, hope it becomes an option in the future!
quote:A Duel CD and CASSETTE STEREO!Who still used casettes? They've gone the way of the 8-track. Dude, come out of the 80's and step into at least the 90's of not the 21 century.
quote: A Duel CD and CASSETTE STEREO! How come Toyota Matrix has the option to have the duel stereo system, and the Vibe does not have the option to have a CD/Cassette combo??Anyway, hope it becomes an option in the future! The last one of these on ebay, http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 3040528061 went for a token $36! There was an earlier one at http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 2426496702 that went for $256.! I guess the Matrix one is available as an aftermarket mod , but buying one from Toyota, or from Pontiac if they offered it, would probably be too expensive.
Aftermarket options I would like to see:- Some sort of spoiler/wind deflector to keep all the rain and crud splashing onto the rear window- rubber cargo mat- a real cargo area cover- An adapter for the CD Changer to use it as an aux. input for an MP3 player or the like.
It's been a while since we've this thread has had discussion, and we've attracted many more users since the last time it was active...So I want to get the feedback of our newer members (as well as any new feedback of older members). To recap the topic: Jeff Strausser asked me to do a survey of Vibe owners and find out what kind of aftermarket accessories you would like to see GM release for the Vibe. This can include anything in the following categories:Performance (CAI, Supercharger, Muffler, etc)Utility (bike racks, ski racks, gear organizers, etc)Appearance (tail lights, spoilers, etc)and so on. Of course, those are just examples. We would like to hear ANYTHING and EVERYTHING you folks would like to see released for the Vibe!Jeff said he was really pleased and excited to see all the customization that people did with their cars at the Michigan meet last year. PLEASE DO NOT LIST CHANGES YOU WOULD LIKE TO SEE IN DESIGN, FEATURES, ETC. THIS IS NOT A LIST OF YOUR LIKES AND DISLIKES, BUT RATHER, A LIST OF WHAT AFTERMARKET ACCESSORIES YOU WOULD LIKE TO SEE DEVELOPED AND RELEASED BY PONTIAC!

I'd like them to develop a flash memory eraser like in Men in Black so everyone would stop worrying about "paint chips" and "undersized batteries" and start to enjoy these great little cars. Life is too short to dwell on the negative.

yeah, i'm thinkin the vibe would look nice w/o the roof rack and i've read a post on here somewhere that someone did it but they had problems with it leaking when it rained or something.

I would like to see some perfomance upgrades like a chip and or a programmer, so we can change our lift points. A actual ram air hood with air box! Some eruo lenses. A header that will be worth buying! (toyota has one for $788, whats the point?) An exhaust the elminates one cat converter(gt). A big brake and rotor upgrade at a good price that won't make us broke! A kit to smooth the roof rack. The GT-R body kit, sold in pieces. The gt-r is the only reason I bought my vibe, I thought I could buy the gt-r or fix my car to be that! I was wrong! Different style upper spoilers. Leather wraps to go over he steering wheel to change he colors. Gm needs to look around at mits and dodge etc. They are putting out cars that come stock with over 250 hp and have big wheels, intercoolers, and a damn good warrenty. Also a service shop that are not a#$holes and know something! gm needs to get on this site and read what everybody is writing, this might help to sell more cars, and performance upgrades!
I just thought of one myself!Would be cool if there was a factory remote starter you could get...Would be nice if it came as a factory option, but even after purcahse would be nice...

Well GM does have vehicles with tape and cd... Grand Ams and Montana Vans have this. Does the 2005 Vibe have a remote start? I know the GM is making an available option shortly.I would like to see more performance parts like CAI, body kits and rims. ALL at competetive prices of course.

Upgrades I'd like to see:Dealership salesperson-memory-upgrade chip so they can learn and remember how to sell these great cars! (Available for personnel at selected dealerships through a consumer-nomination process only)Dealer service-department-person memory-upgrade chip so they can learn and remember how to work on these cars! (Available for personnel at selected dealerships through a consumer-nomination process only)Top management-memory-upgrade chip so they learn and remember how to price cars realistically, making rebates and incentives un-needed. Mandatory for GM, Ford, Chrysler management, beginning with 2005 models.
My 2003 Vibe Base Auto 2-tone Salsa "SalsaWagon" was built in May 2002. I acquired it in Feb 2004/Traded it in on a 2016 Honda HR-V in Feb 2018.
I don't know if posting here will do any good, but I would like to see:-alternative taillights-projection headlights-aftermarket engine/header/fuse panel covers-Gas Milage gauge-A cargo cover for when the rear seats are folded down so they don't get all scratched up-performance headers Hope this is helpful. I'm sure I'm not the only one who would like to see these accessories.

Do Matrix body parts fit the Vibe? Like the aftermarket body kits? Dont think so but just wondering. Also I found this fender flare carbon fiber not for my car but not sure if anyone interested here is a pic. I also found an intercooler but its useless according to the description its just for show. And also found a grill but like I said not sure what would work on the Vibe. Here are the pics and the sitehttp://www.extremedimensions.c...%2D04

I don't think I've seen anyone mention this.... like many of you, I use my Vibe for all kinds of stuff, taking the dogs to the park, toting stuff for my business, sports gear, home improvement gear, etc. But I also like to cruise in the Vibe and enjoy my drive time with good tunes. Thus far, I've held off on installing a system because I don't want to sacrifice my space in the back, but I've been thinking of building something that is relatively small and easy to put in and take out so I can have ALL of my space when I need it, but easily opt to have a sub and an amp back there for pleasure. They have customer sub-boxes for other kinds of cars, why not the Vibe? I have to think, if it's made by a decent audio company and done well that it was sell!Add one vote for the aluminum door sills and for a way to protect the back of the rear seats when they are folded down.
welcome to genvibe! great to have another member onboard! and on our 2nd birthday. the new '05 vibe will have a factory sub built into the wheel well that may be available for sep purchase later down the road.
Well, I would like to see an option for an Auto on the GT. I would like to see some headers coming out for the car. I would also like to see some other options for wheels. Besides the 5-star wave wheels. I would like to see somethin like the Enkei RS5's or somethin like that. Inder Singh

I would like to see doggie fence developed for the vibe (similar to what volvo offers) to keep the pooches behind the back seats or to keep the cargo from falling forward onto rear seats.

Check out his great instructions at http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=7302
1. A doggie fence or net that would go behind the rear seats, to prevent the animal to jump over the seats and come forward.2. a rubber carpet for the cargo area, made of rubber (non slip rubber)3. a comprehensive parts/repair manual
Quote, originally posted by ychartra »2. a rubber carpet for the cargo area, made of rubber (non slip rubber)This already exists. It is a rubber-backed carpet available through your dealer. Part number 12498133, retail price is $69, you can find it cheaper online though.Quote »3. a comprehensive parts/repair manualA service manual is already available. Helm Inc, Service ManualsWhile a comprehensive part list is not known to exist, you likely can find a relatively comprehensive list on ebay which has most major collision parts...otherwise, we have a running master part list going on here: The Ultimate Pontiac Vibe Parts List

Things I would like to see....An extra AC inverter to put in the back.Form fitting air mattress for naps on those long trips. (inflator plugs into AC outlet).Slide out Table for tailgate parties. (uses the rails inside the car)Body colored interior trim accessories.White faced gauges with the vibe logo on them.Engine dress up kit. Maybe new colors/designs for the engine cover. And the usual performance stuff.....intercooler, headers, big bore kit, etc. Most of these have already been engineered from other places, but are not readily advertised. Pontiac could go into a partnership with them and advertise their products in the catalogs.Make all concepts with production in mind.....instead of attention getting one-offs.
Quote, originally posted by Mavrik »Does the 2005 Vibe have a remote start? I know the GM is making an available option shortly.Mavrik. The aftermarket car alarm (sold out west) under "KARR" comes with an remote start feature. Works pretty good; but you have to make them reprogram the normal setup so you can have the hatch window option on the key fob.Let me know if you want their 1-800 number.
Not an "accessory", but put in another vote for 12VDC and/or 110VAC power recepticles in the back. Heck, my wife's RAV4's got one. ("Dammit," he muttered to himself. "Guess I'm just gonna have to drill me another hole in the back there!")I also like the table idea; the Honda CR-V has one, if I recall.Wider selection of wheel stylesA supercharger option...no wait, they say they're coming out with one any day now... Full body decals! Just as long as I don't look like a ricer.
