Good humor here as always with" some justifiable" reasoning. Back to the original topic though. What would be the MAXIMUM length of time, regardless of mileage" for an oil change to take place? I got yelled at by several folks in the automotive world when I told them I went SEVEN years between oil changes on my 22 year old F-150 (300 cid inline 6 cylinder) even though it was a mere 6500 miles or so during that time. I'm coming up on two years between oil changes on my 2009 Vibe Gt but it only got driven 3000 miles since it's last oil change. I plan on driving it to the GenVibe summer meet in Pontiac and maybe a few more road trips so it will see some road time finally. I'm always in a commercial vehicle so my personal ones don't see much regular driving. At worst I may put it off until sometime in 2016 when it will be closer to the recommended interval. FYI .. I'm using Mobil1 synthetic oil.lannvouivre wrote:I have been known to work on my car to get alone time.
