ah geez, something else to worry about!

Actually, I guess I am glad I went this far down the list - I better check. I believe I am just a month away from three years and a few thousand away from 36k.

Thinking about turning in a warranty claim for the noisy steering column too.

I would certainly recommend that us 2009-10 owners that garage our cars to start wiping the area around the seal after a ride thru the rain.

Anyone replace this on there own ? I couldnt believe it when we opened the sunroof this morning living in WI. My wife hardly uses the sunroof and i dont drive the car. Its out of warranty and its beyond fixable. The rust is that bad. I wrench , so fixing it shouldnt bee an issue , but its something i havent done so any hints would bee great. Bottom line its time to buy a new frame and any installation tips would bee awesome.

Thanx Scott

I haven't looked personally, but there should only be some screws or something holding the glass to the entire sunroof frame itself. When ours were replaced under warranty, they were done in less than 30 minutes, so it can't be too hard and/or time consuming. I know the sunroof glass on my former Pontiac Sunfire GT Coupe was held in by 4 screws (2 on each side). You removed the screws and popped the glass up and out of the roof. Very simple. I can't see the Vibe being much different.
