I am shooting for 2:20, but we'll see. My times are super slow right now. Thanks. It was incredibly frustrating though. My little brother ran the race with me. His entire training has totaled less than 13 miles and he ran it in 1:35. I'm planning on doing another one in November (maybe I can walk again by then).Quote, originally posted by runerx »COOL!!!My wife ran the Air Force half this weekend and KILLED her PR. She ran a course record by four minutes, broke her own PR by three minutes and won in 1:18.20. She's right on pace to run her olympic trials qualifier in Chicago DaveThat's awesome! I hope she makes it!

Damn show off! but ya, as we get older, if you're not used to that kinda pounding on your body, I think it's just more difficult to do imo. Is he taller as well? I wish I were taller so I had a much longer stride.

Unfortunately, I didn't do as well as my first, but all things considering, I am pleased. I finished 2:30:02 slightly slower than my first, but I did absolutely no training prior and up until the last mile and half, was trudging along to finish about 10 mins faster... then I rounded the corner and saw the hill. LOL! ya.... my goal for next season is do the women's 5 miler in under 40, and run the first half I do around 2:20 or less, then hope to work that down to under 2:00.
Nice job!!! _- 1 min per mi is great. I'm out for this year with a torn meniscus, but following surgery, I should be back at it by the first of the year... Looking at a late september or early october Marathon to drive my comeback.
