the blackish two-tone handles are not abyss but that's probly the closest thing you'll get. and remember the "pontiac" bezel on the hatch is the grey cladding color so it's even further from black.

FYI: The silver color is now called Platinum. Silly Pontiac keeps changing the names. Not sure if it's the same code # though. For instance, I noticed that Shadow and Moonstone have different numbers, although they are both a medium gray.

I have to ask a stupid question that hasn't been answered yet.Since I don't have power locks on the Vibe.I would like a set for the sunfire,if I give you my paint code can they do them.Or are they just doing Vibe colors.

When we were in Florida & I was looking at your Vibe I noticed Moonstone seems to have more flake in it. They are very similar and you can't really tell in pictures but I'm sure they aren't the same. The keyhole covers help to reduce drag by allowing air to pass over it instead of allowing the air to enter the keyhole creating a swirling drag effect. Therefore, your overall economy and top speed will increase with these keyhole covers. lol. Haha! J/K!PS - You're both Whipper Snappers!

Count me in on this for sure!Toasted7 - 90U/WA238M Moonstone - 3 covers (2 door/1 hatch)Just installed the sharkfin antenna... these should make a nice addition.A little off topic, but not too much... I actually ordered two of the rear door covers to put on the front door handles in order to cover the keyholes, but there was too much involved in doing that and it was permanant, so if you needed to use your keyhole to get into the car... you were SOL.

The sample keyhole covers are coming this week. Once I get them, I'll take pics during and after the installation. That will hopefully get more people to sign up so we can get these made for everyone asap.

I'm lookin forward to seeing them installed. I'm wondering how flush they'll be. Some of the pics look like they stick out just a hair like a bump then others look almost completely smooth.
Update:He said he shipped me a set of sample keyhole covers on 6/15. On 6/26 he asked if I received them, I had not. So he said he was sending out another set that day. Hopefully, I will get them soon so we can see what they look like.

Update: Now he says he is making another sample set this Wednesday then sending them out to me. He says the first set must have been lost in the mail. It has been 49 days since I first contacted him. We should have had a sample set a while ago. Hopefully, he is able to produce a sample set this wednesday and get it shipped out asap. I asked him to start posting on this forum so everyone can get to know him and so he can build up trust with many potential buyers. We'll see what happens.

I finally received the sample keyhole covers. Here are the pics: They were shipped via USPS on 7/6/07. I received them on 7/9/07. So the shipping was pretty quick once they were actually sent. The two door keyhole covers are perfect. The hatch keyhole is larger in diameter. All three keyhole covers provided are the same size so when it is inserted in the hatch keyhole you need to press it all the way in to for it cover the keyhole. I don't know of he has any larger sizes of covers for the hatch keyhole or if these are it. I will never use my hatch keyhole since I have the remote, can unlock it from the inside and the hatch glass release on the dash. So it is fine for me, but others may want it to me flush like the two front doors. I asked him again to post in this thread to make himself more known to GenVibe members. Hopefully he will and shed some light on the hatch keyhole cover. Now we just need to get more people signed up to get them made.

yuck to that hatch cover I do like the sides though! I may have to alter my order to just the sides if this is the way the style remains (especially since I'd have to be repainting the hatch cover to match the gray cladding already.)

At least this is a little more progress than we had before... I don't like the hatch cover much either, but I would make due with it if I have to. I don't use that keyhole to get in the hatch anyway, so not a big deal to me at all. Hope to see him post and get the ball rolling on this asap... come on people, you know you want a set!!!

But it is just a 1/2" long plastic stem that is flat on one side and curved on the other. Hopefully, when he posts, he can also post a pic of the back of the covers.(So, I don't have to take them off. lol)

OK, I broke down and took one off. It only took about 5 seconds. I had to press in hard on one side, just enough to slip in a credit card corner to pry it out. Very easy to remove but definitely will not just fall out at anytime. Here is a pic of the stem:

LOL thanks for checking! My fear was that I'd be out in the middle of no-cell-phone-signal-nowhere in the rainy night with a dead fob and no way to get into my car WOW, I just realized that the guy who makes these is in or around Bowie, MD... that's right around the corner from me! I'd be willing to take Pandora to him if he needs a more accurate measuring of the hatch hole.Tee hee... hatch hole! OKay, I'm easily amused

Hey guys I am finally here on Genvibe. Fist off let me say thanks to BlueCrush for being following through with me especially waiting for paint and also a lost order in the mail but we are at this juncture now and so lets move forward. Let me first say that I have been doing this for the last three years and I have thousands of satisfied costumers around the world. I am an enthusiast like you and I own a MR2 Spyder with a 2zz swap and love to work on and detail my car to no end. Anyway I will need enough people to make the initial orders so that I can at the very least break even with all of the paint that needs to be ordered.Soon as we make that threshold the sooner I can have everyones covers ready to be painted. The prices are 2 for 18.00. I had to increase the rate on Scion life by $1.50 to reflect the increase in shipping by USPS. All of your packages will go out first class mail and they are done in batches. A little more on the covers. These covers have taken me three months to develop and the solution as you can see in the pictures was using an eccentric stem so that it lines up with the keyhole. Each one of the keyholes are painstakingly made with much prep work then they used two types of adhesion promoters to actually melt the paint on to the substrate. After two coats of paint which are wet sanded between coats I use German clear coat so that it accurately matches your paint and has a brilliant finish. If you have any questions please ask on this thread and I will answer them. thanksdev
