Why go back to that?I think the fact that they chose something that wasn't exactly memorable to draw from makes this thing that more unique. The other guys all have something that is instantly recognizable, as their current retro designs date back to vehicles that were well known and/or successful. The masses can easily place cars like the Mustang, Chrysler 300, Charger, etc - they know where that look came from. But the HHR will leave them trying to figure out what that thing was in a previous life. Say, for those who have driven the HHR, have you taken one out on the highway? I'm curious to see how it stacks up against the Vibe in terms of road noise, engine noise, etc?

I hear a HHR sport or SS is coming with a 2.4L i-4 turbo ie. the engine from the sky and solstice muahhaha that would be sweet... dang it where is my awd?!
Yeah... There were several at the same lot I got the Vibe from. I will say they had a hard time keeping Vibes in stock and they had tons and tons of HHR's, of every variation of shade, feature, etc. spread out EVERYWHERE.I checked out both.I made sure the dealer hid my Vibe until we were ready to finalize the sale. Vibe = Love
It was a toss up for me between the HHR and the Vibe, the HHR is smoother, quieter, and has more room, but I didn't like where the window switches are and it didn't come in AWD, if the HHR had awd I'd have one now.

Trust me you would not want an eco junk in a vibe thats why i bought mine because it wasnt a GM motor, Now they claim these motors are better than the earlier model cav/sunfire engines that yo uhad to replace the head gaskets on at 60 k But yo uwill go along way to beat the motor thats in the vibe now!And about the HHR great little car just wayy to small when they built that curvey body thats so cool it came with a cost, the interior space they moved the interior in with the curvey fenders and thus its wayy small, Although i did see a new panel version yesterday, looks alot better but still has the rear door that pops open from a button oin the dash pretty neat but if i remeber right the HHR didnt rate to well either another exmple of the GM crap put out lately
