No thanks. I'll stay happily single before I ever buy a red car. Umm... no offense to anyone who has a red car. Steering this back on topic...I have to agree with those who say that a relationship shouldn't be based on a car, but you have to admit that sometimes it can be a good ice breaker.

Personally I would never leave my hood open or anything like that specially over night. Its very easy for someone to come up and dump something down any one of your fluid points, steal your battery and then break into your car. Whats going to happen? the alarm won't go off... might as well just leave the car parked unlocked with the windows down and your purse unzipped on the seat.Sure a little frost won't hurt it, but thats not the point.

Indeed, my custom work that was done on my car and my car being the only Vibe in the area is how I got my current GF. The vibe didn't help my love life because I'd have gotten her w/o the car, but I did get her to approach me before I approached her when I rolled up in my vibe one day

what a great wedding photo with teh vibes lined up!as for me, i haven;t picked up a single girl in my vibe since i bought it...which seems to be just fine with my wife.
wow, I can't believ i didn't see this topic sooner Me being in high school (unlike the majority of people here) I'm obviously not going to have any serious relationships hopefully. Well, anywho as anyone can remember in high school , it means a great deal on what you drive here, and I like to think I have the nicest car of all the students at my school, which makes me feel kinda special, and I get many "Hey! Nice car Mac!" Comments and generally it's a good conversation starter with my friends. As for relationships... The Vibe actually helped me break one off about a year ago. My ex complained that I talked more about my car than her. I told her "get a life!, I'm 16 and have a brand new car! It's probably the most important thing that has ever happened to me." Needless to say, that pretty much did it. And as for "doing the dirty" with the folded down seats, hasn't happened and won't now that I've got that freakin huge sub box in the trunk!

Now that I've had time to sit back and really think about this thread...Do people really want to sit around and try to get dates with these cars? "Hey baby, wanna come rub up against my powered by toyota 4-banger station wagon?" I mean, really... If this car were what it was 10 years+ ago, would people still be sitting around wanting to score with THAT car? j/k folks...

Thats actually kinda funny, because one of my friends has that exact car and he calls it a piece of crap and throws pepsi bottles in the back. I hope that is not the fate of my good ol' Vibe oneday...

Well although that was the exact car that our cars evolved from, I guess the Vibes are a wee bit cooler. The fate of your friend's Corolla wagon sounds like the fate of my Vibe already. There's trash all over that sucker. Good thing I don't have to go around using the Vibe for pickin' up chicks now, as they'd have nowhere to sit due to all the garbage. (removed)!

Yea, I could see picking up chicks to be a wee hard in my friends trash wagon. "Hey baby, have a seat, here move the bottles, and envalopes, how did that pipe get in here? Oh, here have some pizza, it's only from last week."

pizza.. thats what the passenger seat table is for!which reminds me... I had a thought... maybe this is crazy.. so maybe i'll start a new thread on this... flesh out the ideas before i cut...So.. there are already wires under the 05 console... ready to power a 12v socket... WELL... how bout, just tapping into those wires for power... including a switch.. now.. stay with me...then go get one of those 12v heater/cooler type things...take it apart and gut it... rearrange its innards to line the cosole.. and wire it up.. PRESTO! drivers side *soda* cooler!(hey I live in the south, it is retarded hot here... always a good idea for more refrig/coolers)would it work?
If it doesn't pull more current than the circuit is capable of delivering, you're good to go. You may not be able to put much in there once it is all in there, but in theory it could work...Then you won't have to stop at the quickie mart when you're out cruisin', trying to score. BAM! There, brought that sucka back on topic!

i don't suppose it'd pull more current, since they are designed to be plugged into 12v sockets...actually it may be too radical of a mod for me to do, i think i COULD do it, but do i REALLY want to... no.I just got the car 1 week ago.. so for now I want to keep it as stock as I can... Need to make some payments on the sucker before I start cutting and modding. Not that I don't WANT to do things to it.. Like TINT for one thing.. that is on top of my list.Hopefully I can bring this topic to life... after I return from my vacation with my "sweetie"... *cough* soon to be "ex-sweetie"I don't have to explain, you've all had at least ONE!Too bad I got the vibe too late to take cruisin up the Myrtle Beach strip before summer ends (you know, it really ends Labor Day weekend).
