Anyone had experience with the Nissan Z?

I think I'll just buy a legacy and build it up. Your wife sold me on it and after doing research on it all day today I think I like that car as much as I liked my vibe. Beautiful car that is rarely modded. They said on the site that the WRX lip spoiler body kit would fit which looks very nice and is reasonably priced. If I can't find a black one to do the black and green theme I'll buy one of the silver here and town and go silver/purple with the purple tein springs that are available for the legacy.

Yea that would give it an edge and still be able to look class I hope. I'm gonna see if I can testdrive one tomarrow.

one thing nice about them over a WRX is the sleeper look to them. To most it looks like a moderatly luxurious sedan at an average price... till it pulls away from you at the light so fast you never had time to read the badges on it to know what it was. There are some really cheap mods to increase low end torque to... such as hollowing out the converter on the up-pipe. In places with visual IM inspections only like up here, no one would even notice.

Yea thats another plus Being a sleeper. Just like a friend of mine who has one of the new lincolns with a V8 under the hood that smokes alot of ricers.

I liked the Legacy till I sat in one at the autoshow. Man, it has the hardest seats ever. And than I tried all the Subarus, and same thing. Just make a search on the subaru legacy forum and you'll see.I mean they look awsome inside and out, just those damn seats

Sure the subaru seats are not as soft as the Vibe seats but from the ones I sat in and drove to this point, its something I could definatly live with.

Results are in! Wow the legacy is nice in person but I myself fell in love with the cobalt blue 350z I experienced today. Now its gonna be up to the research and how my settlement goes as they want a $7500 down payment on either one and missing 2 months of work I was hoping to finance without a down payment. I had enough to nearly pay cash for one but I have had alot of bills lately. I did talk her into an 06 yellow hyundai tyberon with 18" alloys and the appearance package. Little more power than her neon and around the same size, as for me I saw the dealer with the 350Z and a black legacy GT teasing me setting side by side like they were just waiting for me. I drove the legacy a bit and the feel was great, then I drove the 350Z and let my dad shift while i clutched around the lot then let him drive it, He hates japaneese made cars but he grinned when he drove this car. He told me that the car shifted incredably smooth and was layed out nicely so he said if I'm gonna buy a manual he'd like it to be that. Sooo I'm just gonna put everything from work in the bank now that i payed off all the medical bills from my accident since insurance comanies weren't paying them and hospitals wouldn't stop hounding me. Once they pay me back I'll be ready to make the decision.

good luck with whatever you end up doing. i love the 350Z, but come winter, no thanks! lol. my LGT, the seats are just fine for me, no complaints. it's fast, i can play with it and upgrade things on it just fine. and i'm not paying hella $$$ for insurance. my insurance is LESS than it was on the vibe due to all the standard safety features.

I have my AWD SS Silverado for winter so that part isn't my concern. I'd never drive a car setting that low through the snow we get around here.

Now that I think about it, since you already have another vehicle to drive, why do you need another? Just curious.Sure, the Silverado isn't going to get great mileage, but you'll save money over fuel, insurance, and payments on two vehicles... I don't even begin to understand your situation, but that's none of my business so you don't have to say...

The truck was purchased to be a project for my father and I as a way to spend time together. It has alot of mods and only gets 12-13mpg so there is no way in hell this will be my daily driver. I myself enjoy doing body work on cars as well as performance mods on what I buy (to a limit) to show 'my style'. This is where my second vehicle comes into play, my Vibe was my pride and joy show car, therefor what I replace it with will be getting the same treatment. Its a family hobby of ours to do car shows and occasional drag strip get togethers. Most of my family lives in the same area in SW missouri and NE Oklahoma so we get together alot. I drive the truck now since its all I have atm

But your right, it is an excellent sports car.

Actually they get 26mpg on highway which is where most of my driving is done. I know its no 36 like my vibe got . Same gas milage as the legacy window sticker showed. I think I'm leaning toward the Z since its more my kind of car as well as somethng the other love in me life likes and I already have an AWD if I need it. The Z stickers for $25,860 and the Legacy is $29,300. I know I was iffy on that legacy still until I saw it in person it was black, lowered with gold painted calipers and 20% tint done at the dealer.

well sounds like you know what you want. and for $25K, that sounds like a great price. less than my LGT. but for me, must have something for winter driving as well.

Yea I'm pretty sure thats the one I'll get. Both the Z and the legacy are amazing cars. After riding in both I felt the Z was more my style, and the fact that I'ma real fan of body work the one thing that dissapointed me is that the US Legacy models can't have body kits and I like making my car unique (some call me a ricer but I don't go that far ). I did some search on the Z and if I want to turn it into a real performance car there is a Greddy Twin Turbo for $4900 that brings it to 420hp As for winter driving yea that is an issue but I have a truck for now. The SS Silverado has so many problems with warranty issues its not even funny. We purchased the 1st year model that came out which was bad because we knew to expect flaws. Its having stupid problems like: 2 weeks after purchase the bolt that holds the right side tail gate cable fell out, there was a recall on the windshield gaskets, at 70mph on interstate the windshield would shake prefusely...they said it was fixed and still rattles bad, many times the transmission will stick in 2nd gear and not shift, newly arose problem when mom took me to doctor last week in it...the horn stopped working...This truck is soon to be replaced and maybe I'll find a fuel efficient AWD. lol maybe a legacy and a Z. hah, one could only wish.

there are a ton of body kits for the legacy's. especially when they bring the spec B USDM version in a few months. but yes, a HUGE aftermarket support for the Z. just do it nicely and not ricely. please???

nice not rice is the only way I do it. I tastefully fix up my cars. no decals and wings taller than me. I got my stitches pulled today so i shold be able to drive soon. can't wait
