Hmm, when I called today she's like "Ok, let me see if I we have any hoods for you, I will call you back". Hopefully that means "lets see if the hoods are here ready to be shipped instead of "let me see if there are any hoods left period" which I am afraid might be the case. She said she just got back from vacation so they better have held the hood I told them to hold since they still have my deposit. If she calls me back before I leave for work the transaction will be made and I will be getting it within a couple weeks!
yeah I thought she told me she had 4 deposits still...one was mine one was yours, that means the four of us including who ever the otehr two were should have first dibs. So if that's the case there should be one new hood and the prototype availible. I am buying the prototype so...that means two hoods left. I can't imagine how they could possibly screw me out of my hood since I told her I was getting it for sure (removed)...
Just got off the phone with Londa at JSP. She said the hoods are in, and after my $50 deposit it will be $502 due to ship to my house. So, I guess that's $550 total shipped for anyone who was curious. They're holding mine until I can send the cashola!

I got a phone call too, $502 shipped. Now my only problem is that the money I sat aside is now going to bills. The wife quit her job and we need every penny we can get. So it looks like mine is more than likely up for dibs. PM me for details if you are seriously interested. This sucks.
I feel for you.I think the prototype came out to about $390 not including shipping. I'm having it shipped to my dad's work...but my mom works out of the house so if they consider that a buisness all the better for me
Yeah Linda called and asked if I still wanted my hood, I'm still unsure as to whether I should buy it or just get my deposit back, I guess I will call and ask whether they have any side (profile) shots of the hood
Got their number on my caller ID so I guess mine is ready, too! I was figuring that it would be around $500. Was hoping more in the $400 range shipped. All well, that's what you get for being unique. Now I gotta start saving for the paint.

Yeah, although when you think abuot it $500 isn't all that much considering only 6 are being built and also comparing it to the KSport hoood ($600 +shipping un-painted) and the SLP hood ($400-$500 +shipping not painted).
OK since I don't think anyone else asked, I asked Linda if the edges were rolled or cut and the answer sadly is that they are cutShe said she was sending me a side shot of the hood however I don't know if I'll get it since my email has been a bit screwy lately

I'm not sure what that really means, though. Just heard rolled was better.

I know I feel the same way, I'm not quite sure what kind effect having the edges cut will have. However I posted a question on MO asking that so we'll see

I think rolled will hold together longer and look better whereas cut are the opposite. Not sure though.

I also called today. I asked how many hoods were left and didn't really get a straight answer. The way she answered the question seemed like I was the only one buying a hood! (removed)...anyways, they are definately making more hoods she said, they are also working on the Matrix hood and a Corolla hood as well. She told me before I called she was on the phone with a Corolla owner.I forgot to ask about more pics. She was suposed to call back with a quote including shipping to dad's work but I was at work and did not give her my cell number Also she told me as well that the edges are cut rather than rolled. I personally don't think that makes much of a difference. It's probably just some stupid thing people THINK plays a big roll but I believe as long as the hoods are good quality, rolled or cut, they should last the same amount of time if they are taken care of...I don't think cute edges means it is a razor sharp edge that is flat and could cut diamonds either.SOOO, just waitin on a shipping quote so I can write my check and get this sexy engine shroud on her.
Ok, $460.28 shipped for me. I sent the check in today, the hoods are being shipped by air. So once the check clears It shouldn't take any longer than two days to get here according to her. I will be expecting it Monday or Tuesday of next week!!!!!!!! SOOOOO excited. It's going to get in the high 50's this weekend too!!!!!!
So what exactly is the temprature range that you can have them on your car? I've had my cf roof rack covers on all winter and they're holding up great. Not even any scratches on 'em.

she sent me a side shot (I can't find it right now) however I did like a 2 min photochop of how this will look on an '03 front end (looks freakin awesome)
I probably won't be able to pay for mine until the 15th, so hopefully I'll be getting it soon thereafter. If you get yours Merz make sure you fill us in on everything.
