K just to clairify, the1yr warranty covers all manf. defects3yr warranty covers all ring of death issues. so if something else broke after 1yr....and you over heated your xbox by wrapping it in a blanket until it over heated....and then got the ring of death...i bet it would get fixed under warranty but you didnt hear that from me...its just a theory ;P

LOL me too, i just paid for a xbox elite...knowing it will break, but eh actually if it gets a ring of death and MS wont fix it for free, i know how to fix it, so im not worried just dissapointed they wont admit their hardware design flaw. So yeah 3yrs is a LONG time for ROD fixing..sooo nice

i was thinking of getting the elite..but theirs really no difference other then the 120 gb which u'd never use and it came with an xtra cable for the tv

Thats the only reason I want the elite. I'm barely using the hard drive that I have now. I just think the elite is sexier.

the elite has hardware hdmi output. And my hdtv im buying has 2 hdmi's so x360 and ps3!! Oh an I dl tons of those demos and movies so that 120gb drive it would be sweet.

That 120gb drive will work well for you. I on the other hand, rarely use it for anything other than game saves, so it wouldn't be necessary.

yeah for just game saves and game dl's the 20 is great. The core system was and is a lame pos that idk anyone would buy..sony found that out quick and dropped their 20gb. The core x360 is holding up GTA's release date becaues they had to figure out how to make it shweeet without a hard drive ..... The carbon fiber face plate should look sweet on this black xbox

hey north..if yea want 500gb in a laptop..check out companies like alienware or falcon northwest..some computers u can get 2.5 tyrabytes(2500gb)..can make the mach v desktop for $18,000

HAHAH i love hdd gb's! I have 1TB in my desktop pc now... soon to be at 2tb or so. my work laptop I think only has a 80gb but the xbox uses a laptop drive so does the ps3 and they only go to like 160 or 250 or something small like that. 750gb desktop sata drives go for like 250 while 500's are like 110 hahah its all about the best bang for your gb one thing i do like about ps3 is they allow you to upgrade your hdd to whatever size/speed you want. xbox is stuck at whatever they sell...hence why i went all out with an elite, just in case i needed that room later.

Make our living by playing RSV hahahhaha god I need some more games, my crackdown and gow twin pack from ebay was a no go so I got reimbursed. I found that for 60-70 bucks so 30-35 a game new sealed! it was a deal until it never showed up crackdown and gow are fun as heck coop. OH ill go preorder halo 3 today so we can coop it when its out!

yeah i must have done something good cuz katie got me the elite w/ transformers.i might wait on playing Transformers though, cuz she got it at bestbuy and i have a 3$ off coupon for target plus my discount. : )And yeah i havent played crackdown online, but looks like itd be fun. and GOW is always good coop.HALO 3 is gonna be insane... i might have to give up R6V... get splintercell games..they're co-op and really hard..im also gettin Halo 3 and probably R6V soon..but..im not to sure..cause i think i'll be getting a vibe soon..and i mean it this time..0 down and 0% financing ..i'll keep ya updated..still not sure what color to go for..i like the wave blue..cause it's unique and u dont see many cars that color...or the salsa red

had splinter cell DA for reg. xbox before upgrading. its ok... but still same old splinter cell. quite and not much action. i guess its just preference.Halo3/ unreal tournament 3 are on my list for next. i was also thinkin of findin quake 4 heard it was pretty good. and its been out for a bit

I have never been in love with splinter cell its to slow for me most the time, but i have the one for the wii and its fun as heck coop. just such a diff experience with a wii. OH UT3!@!!! i forgot about that...well ill be at gamestop tonight to make some preorders and video game nerd it up.

gta4 was done on ps3 first so it will have the more superior graphics... so i might get it for ps3...depends on the multiplayer...more ppl i know have xbox so maybe ill get it for that...blah...stupid game systems..cant they just all get along

ps3 dropped in price today at 12am, I stopped by gamestop and they tried to sell me one today for 500 But yes I want one super bad as the games at the end of this year and next year will be amazing. But why buy it now when the games are not out yet. Has anyone played vampires rain? the video's looked cool but I have not played it yet....Or shadowrun, i played the demo a couple times and it was cool but need more opinions..

mike did you try that shadowrun demo? it was single and multiplayer! that was fun. I only played it for a couple min, some people are super good at it and i sucked since i didnt do the tutorial :s. Vampire rain looked cool in the trailers, as the "splinter cell" like game. Maybe we should convince redfire to rent it and give us the conclusion

played shadowrun last night... pretty freggin sweet if you can get the magic and shooting down. i wasnt all that great. haha.i MIGHT pick this one up instead of the transformers now. : )Wanna try the vampires rain. movie demo looked cool. but not sure how the gameplay looked.The army of two looks BA! Army of two is only game trailers no playable demo yet.I read that vampire rain is a bad game, and not recommended for purchase just rental. BUT I also read that it just has a long learning curve and its fun. soo id rent it first.I watched the MS keynote last night and they announced RE5 for x360 and showed some footage of halo movie i think and the halo 3. Shadowrun is fun but yes big learning curve cuz of the magic, weapons and tech you can use all at once it get nuts. It was rated as a CS wanna be. but hey the demo was a good time. Nothing else thats out at this point is appealing but I did bid on pgr3 on ebay for under 20 bucks it cant be a bad deal.

yeah the movie was good though. funny!I looked at ebay and some games are pretty cheap but tons of people bid on them all... so not sure how lucky you can get. haha.North let me know if you wanna get shadowrun or black hawk down (xbox) both pretty good and you can play BHD online coop. and 4-coop on one xbox
