i watched the brand new owner of a Ford GT lurch forward in our showroom during delivery... he almost did something very similar to that, only he would have flown out the showroom like the Porsche in "Gone in 60 seconds"He found the brakes in time but only after knocking over the brochure stands and hitting the sign that said "do not touch"

I am definitely a fan of the now former generation of the Sentra...appearance wise...As to what I've spotted. Seen a few SKY's now (seen them since they were hitting lots, but now they're becoming pretty common) and passed multiple G5's today alone.

The Versa seems to be more balanced than the Sentra, which is a bit too blunt in the back without a hatch.New cars: I have seen a grand total of one Aura. Also: Grand Cherokee SRT-8, some CR-V's, and a RAV4.

The top pic of that Sentra looks very odd, like there's just something out of place there. The bottom pic of the rear looks ok, but geez, do we really need MORE factory altezzas? Oh well, keep them coming, then the ricers will get sick of that look and start putting normal looking tail lights on their cars. Stuff I've been seeing, hmm... I keep seeing those Yarissessess (yarii?) sedans... I guess they are selling well... There's a lot of visual trickery going on there, will say that! The first few I saw from the side made me think it was a bigger car, maybe even Camry size... But it's only not even an inch longer than my lil' Accent. That Yaris is just weird all around, particularly inside. I'm not regretting buying a boring alternative in that segment.

Saw a new Hyundai Elantra and Nissan Sentra on the dealer lots last week. Both cars look like a big improvement from their predecessors. The price tag on the Elantra was very reasonable.

Just checked out the '07 Elantra myself... Wow, what a difference from the old car! I'm impressed. Overall, it looks better to me in real life than it does in pictures. It has some issues in the back, where like the Sentra, it looks like it should have a hatch and not a trunk... The roof line and small, triangular rear quarter windows remind me of the outgoing Elantra GT hatch. The interior is very well done - nice layout, good looking materials and a ton of room. They picked a good spot for the aux input for MP3 players too, it's down in the center console right where you'd put your device, not up on the radio. The most expensive one I saw was an SE for $17,300, not too shabby. Most were the GLS with still a good amount of equipment for $16,000-ish.I did get to have a closer look at the Sentra as well... Still ugh, those tail lights are killing me! The interior looks nice though. The choice in fabric bugged me a bit, it was this net looking stuff like you'd see on a backpack or something. But that's still better than the cheesy 80's style velour I found in the Versa. The specs for HP and torque aren't too shabby on that car.

New elantra isn't bad...but the rear end REEKS of corolla influence, no?

by cs1992
The entire new Elantra reeks of Corolla influence...but is that a bad thing for the price it's being sold? Anyways, I will reserve judgement on the new Elantra and Sentra until some mpg results start to surface. Gas mileage is crucial when I buy a car. (My vibe averages 31 mpg...auto base model)

Someone in my neighborhood has one of the new Saturn Outlooks. Although I leased a Trailblazer, I'm not a big SUV-guy (my wife drove it most of the time), I did really like the looks of this new "cross-over". I'll be interested to see how the reviews are because I really do like Saturn. We've owned an SL2 for many years and currently own a Relay. I was a little hesitant to get the Relay due to the first model year but we've only had 1 real problem that was fixed with a new electrical module of some sort.Anyway, thumbs up for the Outlook.

Heh, I saw a Ford Festiva today... I thought those were dead too! And even older, a Dodge Rampage! But in keeping with the new car stuff... About the only things new I've seen lately are the new Altima and Sentra. The Sentra was white, it didn't seem to look as bad as it did in some of those other colors.Oh yeah, and a sinus infection green CRV. Yuck!

Saw a new Silverado the other day, pretty spiffy. My dad has been checking them out, but he doesn't want an extended cab and apparently that's all they are making at the moment. And now that I see the pics nascar posted and think about it, I believe I've seen that new super duty Ford out and about a few months ago in cammo... The plant that builds them is in the area so every now and then you'll see 'em out testing stuff. Hey, I wonder if those trucks have a roof that's able to support the weight of the rest of the truck if you flip it over unlike the last ones?

Saw an Edge this morning, orange... It didn't look quite right in that color, it was dirty and I'm not sure if all that chrome really looks good with that color. The chrome wheels especially looked out of place. I'd have to see one up close when it's clean to make a judgement. They sit up a lot higher than I thought they would too, that wasn't really helping the looks of it. *gasp* Might I actually have to suggest that lowering it would probably work wonders? Throw on some different rubber (read: much lower profile!) on some other wheels and it'd be golden. er, "copper."
