Atticus is our almost-1 year old Lab/Border Collie mix (we think that's his recipe!). He was adopted from a rescue shelter in NJ last fall ... supposedly, he was one day away from being put to sleep at a "kill shelter" in Georgia.

Chester...4 years old and is a black smoke short hair (very unique), Michigan Human Society Adoption. He has Asthma, did not know that when we got him and we treat him for it... Did a sales job on me by grabbing my shoulder while we were looking at another cat; my wife had to have him! Best cat we could own and takes his meds with no problems! Knows the words Tuna Fish and loves to chase the ball in the machine he is sitting on...

Thanks for resurrecting this post... I hadn't seen it before. Here's my current critter list:1 dog, an australian sheppard (mut) mix - Odin (the god of war) because we thought he'd grow up to be big, imposing, and protective... but we've since nicknamed him "Goofalopogus" because he's such a silly goofball!3 cats (all from the same litter)Luscious Malfoy Hocus (nickname: "Lucy")... the evil kitty (notice her sour dispostion in the photo... that's normal). She is our hunter/killer alfa kitty, and she often leaves gifts (assorted dead animals) at the doorstep for us.Horatio Maximus (nickname: "Max")... He's solid black and looks mean, but he's really a big, needy, oaf. He's also the willing chew toy for Odin our dog (above). He seems to enjoy being mauled into slobberyness by the dog... I think he might be a little gay.Tenacious D (nickname: "T")... she's our "special needs" kitty. I think she has kitty downs syndrome... she was the runt of the litter, nearly still born, she wasn't moving and her mom wouldn't clean her up when born. My wife basically revived her and saved her. We named her "tenacious" because of her fighting spirit to live. Now she's so cute and cuddly, but she's kinda slow in her own special way. She has perfected the bloated roadkill racoon pose (i'll have to get a picture of it), and I think she may be part skunk because her secret weapon is stinky farts.

Cool name, Odin! We had a cat named Odamae that we also called Odi for short. We got the name from Whoopie Goldberg's character in the movie Ghost. (Yeah, it was that long ago. ) ...She's still kicking though... my brother has her now.

Current pet list at our house.Baylee, 8 year old Golden Retriever..rescued last October. She's got a lot of anxiety issues but is really sweet and still acts like a puppy.Ebony, all black part siamese cat. Man can he yowl. (outdoor/indoor cat)Momma Kitty, gray and white cat that came with the house. (outdoor/seldom indoor cat)Slash and Dash, black and white litter mates. My in-laws cats visiting till they get back from Alaskan cruise.Hobbes , Gray and white tabbey cat. Actually the neighbors cat but we got it neutered and shots because we believed it was a stray we'd adopt. Over at our house most of the time now. Neighbors are dumb asses and don't take care of it. They even call is Festus. Morons! So that gives us 6 pets. 5 Cats...which is probably 4 to many. I don't mind cats but don't like cleaning up there trophies they leave in front of the doors.

I had Bumpy and about ten other dogs. The most recent was a Siberian Husky that, while walking him, many people would ask me if he was a wolf. He was about the most beautiful dog I ever saw. Also Fluffy, Andy and several other kitties. Had about $2,000 worth of tropical fish at one time, too. And rabbits. Those were just my pets. My daughters had more than I could keep up with, but I have no pets at this time.Life is now easy! I both miss them and don't. Know what I mean?

I've got a Roborovski Dwarf Hamster, or "Robo" for short. It's name is Mocha. Yes I refer to it as "it" because I don't know whether it's a male or female! It's the smallest of all dwarf hamsters.

Two cats: Sneezer and Miss Beautiful. I has a german sheperd that rode with me in the patrol car for several years (Sheba died several years ago and we had a great funeral...all the local kids brought flowers, etc. Now that I am partially disabled, I had to get cats because i cannot take a dog out for it's walk, (pick up POOP, etc.)...I should get Mr. Poopypants to help me out. I prefer a dog as to a cat. Cats have a mind of their own.
