ditto to the dual functions there: Quote, originally posted by DarkShocker » Worth while investment that serves duel functions, protection and style. i've already sent out an email to Tool Guy asking some final questions!great idea... just wondering if the '07's still work with 'em

Yep, they'll work. Nothing has changed since 2003 with these fog lights. Here's the front end of an '07 to compare with the other older Vibes in this thread. Looks the same to me. Buy 'em, Toolguy makes good stuff and they'll save you some serious dough in the long run!

i do think i'm going through with a purchase thanks for the feedback!but as to the color of the '07... they call it "wave" and well, it doesn't look that great in person, in my opinion.plus... that car has too much bird doo-doo on the hood!

Do you think that normal Plexiglass will do, or it has to be Lexan, to withstand the heat, small rocks, etc.Now 2.3 mm (0.090 in) think, it that too much ?Where can you buy Lexan ? (what kind of store), I guess you are force to buy a complete sheet (maybe not worth, better buying it from this guy on GenVibe). Thanks in advance.

I do not think Plexi will work. It is too easy to break unlike the Lexan. If a rock hits Plexi it will usually crack. Lexan is also easier to cut and more forgiving if bent. I smashed the crap out of a scrap piece with a hammer against the cement floor and the dang thing would only dent, it did not break! And Lexan also has a higher burn property than Plexi. Plexi I am sure could take the heat of the bulb but for reasons above, I will not use it.2.3mm is the thinnest I could find, not sure you would want to go thinner. My $25 price would get them to Canada, taxes and duty free. $25 that is the grand total and I have sold many to Canadian members! I consider myself 1/4 Canadian because I am in your country for business enough!

does anybody that did the 9005 bulb mod have these protectors?? i'm just wondering if the added heat from the 9005 will affect the lexan. i don't think it will since it's only a 5 watt difference, but i just wanted to check

He has the clear covers...At any rate there should not be an issue since Lexan has a very high burn point, that is one of the reasons I chose it. I have taken a heat gun to it, just to get it to bend and the heat applied was 1200 deg. The paint I use is made for indoor/outdoor, it too should be fine.

Just had to add myself to the list of satisfied customers. THANKS Todd, you have a great product for a good price .My old ghetto/farmer lense protectors finaly bit it... the rabbits would occasionally snag the wire mesh and rip em off. Although haven't had a lense break. Those pesky wabbits should just sliiiiide of these lexan babys. Here is my old post w/pic.

Glad you like them and are happy Jon! Any many thanks for the complements! I want everyone to be happy with my product and will keep it affordable. The fog lamps themselves are expensive enough to buy if someone breaks one! Hey, I never saw your attempt post but it looked like a good try to me! I always tell everyone and sound like a broken record but if you ever have an issue with them by all means let me know, now or in the future!

bumpin it back to the top of the list... i love these thangs, the enclosed detailed instructions were completely idiot proof, they had pretty pictures and everything lol. the alcohol wipes were a great idea too. these are something every vibe/matrix owner should have, they are worth every single pennyhey toolguy, i think you should get a patent on these n try to market em, you're definitely onto something here.

sniff sniff sniff I washed my car today and found out that my driver's-side fog lamp protector was gone... but that's not the worst part... it's cracked! Now mind you, I JUST CHECKED THEM when I got gas last week and everything looked fine! So over the course of the last 10 days I lost the protector AND was bombarded with stones... what a bummer! Talk about timing, I mean, I put them on in November and promptly forgot about them, then last week I suddenly thought to check them. They were fine and then one week later- BAM, gone and cracked.Oi, now how much is it going to cost me to replace that fog light? Don't get me wrong, I do love the product, just bummed that I got cracked... my kind of luck lately, oh well.

Ouch, I am sorry to hear this and your luck... I will help out in anyway for you. If you fix the fog lamp I can get you one new lens for free or help with a new set of two if you decide. I do not cover lost lenses but since yours fell off and then the fog cracked, I will make it right for you as best I can! For a replacement, this person has both sides new and cheap. I know one member that bought one off ebay not sure if it is the same person and if you wanted to ask him about the quality, I can let you know who he is. I asked him and he said it looked great and he was happy with the replacement.

FANTASTIC PRODUCT! I made my own review but never posted back here. Best $25 I ever spent for the set of clears. Go great with my yellow overlays. I can tell they have saved me more than once and only been on for maybe two months. Easy to take off as well to clean behind. And when taken off, the strong zipper style velcro does not peel from the lens overlay I have on. It is the same material that you get for your EZ-pass mounting, I love this stuff! Great Product, Great Shipping. So much detail in the instructions that you could be blind and still get it right.

due to ridiculously high winds for most of the past 4 weeks, my whole car got sandblasted, esp. the headlights n fog covers. i'm not really losin much light, so that's a good thing. i wouldn't take em off regardless toolguy, is there a way to get the clarity back in the covers??

I have had some success with a really mild rubbing compound. I used 3M Imperial Hand Glaze #05990. Basically you want a really mild compound such as to be used after wet sanding to remove really fine scratches. Most auto stores should carry a product like this or an auto body supply shop will. The 3M bottles part number was listed exactly like this:PART NO.051131-05990 I wanted to give everything to you but if I remember corectly it just goes by 05990.
