There is an area under the bridge that goes over to the second island that you can get to on foot or on a bike and ride across the bridge to the other side if you want... found it by accident actually. There are some steps that you can walk/ride up and then you are on the underside of the bridge with some lightposts or something. Once you are down there you can ride right under the baracade of cops on top of the bridge. I rode around under there for a while and ended up unlocking one of the more difficult achievements (last 5 minutes with a 6 STAR wanted level - 50 GP I think) I didn't even know about it, but it worked... never even got shot once. Now when I tried to leave that area and run from the cops, that is a whole other story... we will just say that I ended up in the emergency room.Another suggestion... when you see a cop on foot chasing down a "crook" don't try to be the good samaritan and run past the cop and punch the guy (ie. catch the crook for the cop) because they will bust you instead! They will take all your weapons and a big chunk of $$$ (for the bribe to let you out of jail). Talk about total suckage when they took all the guns I had!Moral of the story is: "Don't try to be the good guy, you will lose... everything."Mavrik - I'm gonna try what you said and rob the internet cafe tw@, you just get one star for that, right?

how do you rob an internet cafe?? i know in vice city and san andreas u were actually able to stick up the place..but i havent tried it in this one yet

Mugging people at the atm is also an option.

I noticed there isn't as much money dropping when you kill someone like before in previous games. I've run over a lot of people LOL and maybe got a $20 so far. I remember in San Andreas, would be doing some turf war stuff and earn about $4000 in dropped cash.Good money comes from stealing cars for Brucie. Often times it means stealing it right in front of a cop who pulled it over to arrest the driver for something. I made a bee line for the paint booth and got it all fixed up. Uzi ammo is pricey though... but effective. I took out a biker gang last night... 6 against one. Pretty fun.

i got drunk with little jacob..and had the helicopter at the intersection right beside the place..so what i did was jumped in it and try to fly..well..all the bouncing back and forth i flew the heli into the building and blew us uP!..ahh the good times

Is there one on the first island I can take? Currently I'm still doing first island missions and the bridges are not open yet.I enjoy doing the car list missions from Brucie. Had to steal a drug dealer's car with his gang standing around it. It was a shoot out before I got out of there. Almost didn't make it lol.

no the heli is on the second and third island..on the second island it's a helicopter tour..on the south-east side of the island..yellow and blue heli's..theirs usually 3-4 of them and u dont even get a star for stealing it

Cool cheat. I'll try it but will remember not to save lol.wonder what other phone cheats are available but allow saving afterwards so as to not corrupt a file.

Yeah I'm having to much fun that I don't need codes... but sometimes a rocket launcher cheat is to much fun to resist LOL

lol ya..rocket launchers are awesome..or even the sniper..i got this combat style sniper rifle..it's sweet

I did the same thing with GTA3. Played around in the city with the cheats, go bored, then played through the missions without them.CAR-555-0175 is a good one

so..of an update how far is everyone in the game?? i'd like to get a set up for us to all play online at the same time..just roam around and stuff

what kinda car do you get?My fav code in San Andreas was exploding car code. everything you hit, it exploded. Made getting away from cops really interesting.

mine was to get the rhino(the tank) and just cruise and blow the crap out of everything in sight lolso i flew around town and couldnt find any possible area to actually get the fighter helicopter..but theirs 3 areas to get a heli..1 on the 2nd island..and 2 on the third island

Going to the second island right now results in my death... instant wanted level LOL

lol yea..it's hard to actually get away from them too..i tried and got pretty far..but of course..i didnt last long

I'm at about 50-52% too... I've gotten the heli with the guns... it was at the airport... but hasn't been there since I opened up either of the other islands...I'm told the first time you do a race for Brucie, when you get the 911 if you park that at your parking place and save your game the car becomes indestructible... not sure cause I didn't do it... and was mad I didn't b/c I did the next mission, then my Porsche was gone but since that I've got 2-3 Porsche's Lambo's and Ferrari's at various places.

the Brucie missions are weird... but then again he is a very weird guy. I have two corvette look a likes in my garage... ie parked on the street lol. The duck and cover is really cool but at times really annoying. Like when I'm trying to shot something and end up ducking for cover. I've died a couple times because Niko was looking for cover when I wanted to shoot back.

yea theirs the ferrari dealership in the 2nd island on the northside right beside the persuas store..or however ya spell it..i've also got dodge vipers and corvettes..im gonna have to search for the heli with guns at the airport..any specific area?

Man I need to get to the second island. Hopefully I'm close. I just don't want to rush through the main story ya know. Does the second and third island open at the same time?

nope..second opens at a certain point..during a mission actually..and the third is pretty much the same..but do not open at the same time..it's very similar to the previous GTA's where they open after awhile and progressivly

well I haven't read a guide or anything on this game so I've been proceeding without anything being spoiled for me. I'm just curious on how far I gotta go in the main story still before it happens. Ah well. I just wanna be able to drive a boat around, steal a heli and all that fun stuff.

ya..u wont be able to drive a boat yet i dont think..unless u steal one thats actually being driven..once u unlock the third island the boats are actually spawned....im not sure how far you are in the story to tell you how much longer..but im sure if you keep pushing your self you'll get to it eventually..i know i was syked when i did the mission then all of a sudden crossed the bridge..once i saved i toured around the whole area

right now I'm doing some actual missions for Brucie "Coming out of the closet" As far as the main story, I'm at the second safe house and haven't done the missions that started up from the re-location to there. I am suppose to check at the community center or something for a job according to Roman's girlfriend. I haven't yet.I already got all the cars Brucie wanted in his e-mails, I'm going to do vigilanty missions you find in cop cars. Those pay some money and are fun to do.

nice..yah..i did some of brucies stuff..and his buddy steves car collection too..how do u activate the vigilant missions? i cant figure it out..it used to be just hit R3 in any of the cars like that and u can do ur thing..

Press L1 but do not hold or you'll start shooting out the window. the police computer will pop up and you can selected the "Most Wanted" option. Select a criminal you want to go after and an option will prompt you to mark his location on your GPS. that starts the vigilanty mission. Once you kill him, the cops pay you and his file will show deceased.

ohhh..serious..is that the same with the ambulance and fire?? im gonna have to go have fun now!

finally got to play...every online game sucked though, either no one had mics or it wasnt full. need more friends online!

im playing the ps3..shoulda invited me..i would have joined..i do not have a mic tho!..vigilante missions are fun..

I use my ps2 usb mic, dont you have one of those? When you got on i was quiting cuz my friend was going to bed and the ps3 is at his house.

no i dont have my ps2 headset..got rid of that like a 6 months ago when i got the xbox 360..i plan to get a headset..or maybe just wait for socom:comfrontation to come out..im sure they'll have the game with a headset for a package..they always do

idk wireless headsets on consoles havent been good enough for me yet, maybe a nice (expensive) bluetooth on a ps3. USB works 100% of the time all the time so i stick with that.

Quality wise you mean?

yeah like quality of hearing and speaking (others hearing you) my friend has a jabra and has issues syncing it, when it is synced sometimes is a hard to hear him. wireless is great and all but the trusted usb headset works fine for me. I still need a bluetooth headset for my phone, which i could use on the ps3 too...there was that noise canceling headset for like 80-100 bucks forgot the name though.

mav's right..gotta do that mission for brucie first then u can access the servers..i didnt do much last night..did a few missions for jimmy on the 3rd island and just messed around with the vigilante missions

the race is hard..i flipped the car a few times..did the race about 5 times til i actually got it..just gotta slow down around the corners..dont e-brake..just slows u down even more plus u lose control so easy
