Re: Can't part with my Vibe

Thanks, everyone for the good advice. I don't do any mechanical work myself, but have a good, reliable mechanic who will use parts that I buy online, and never try to sell me on something I don't need... one of the many advantages of living in rural WV. I will get an assessment from him as to what i...

Can't part with my Vibe

My 2004 Vibe has 218,000+ miles on it, and I have been thinking of retiring it. Other than using Mobil1 oil, I have pretty much neglected it and it shows, cosmetically. Other than some underneath stuff (tires, muffler, tailpipes, brakes, rotors, etc.) I have had few issues with it. I added a transmi...

Re: Tires leaking air, mysterious water leak (blindman10)

Is it possible that the leak could be coming from the roof with no evidence of wetness on the ceiling? Although I don't have a sunroof, I did recently travel with a kayak tightly strapped to the factory roof rack. Is it possible this may have damaged something allowing water to get in??? I can't ima...

Re: Tires leaking air, mysterious water leak (star_deceiver)

Don't have a sunroof, not sure how many miles are on tires....they are the second new set I have bought, and car now has 100,000 miles. I can see some bubbling on the outside of the rims.

Tires leaking air, mysterious water leak

My 2004 AWD Vibe has performed faithfully for over 100,000 miles. 2000 of those were towing a 1000# fiberglass camper from WV to FL and back. I installed a transmission cooler and had the transmission flushed before my journey. For some time I have been having the problem of my tires losing air...re...

Re: (Esteban)

I finally took the wiring kit to a place that installs hitches, and paid them to install it. It was so easy, just plugs directly into the tail lights, and took about a minute. The instructions were very confusing, and impossible for 3 fairly intelligent people to figure out, and I had read in one of...

Re: Any pulling small Utility Trailer with there vibe? (truepath)

I ordered the wiring kit #118458 from etrailer.com, which promised plug and play operation, but the plugs were not compatable with my car's wiring (04 Vibe). Would the more expensive unit work better? I plan to visit my local Toyota dealer and ask their advice. I also ordered the Curt hitch, I think...
