Just wanted to add notes to this. Yesterday the noise made itself known as I pulled into my driveway. I put the car in park and it went away. Put the car in D and it came back, put it in neutral and it went away, put it in 2, then 1 and the noise was there throughout.I'm really at a loss as to what ...

Re: Whining noise when let off gas at 40-45 mph (lolobug22)

I have been having the same problem for a while now, and just now had the guts to start researching it. I have an 06 base Vibe with an automatic transmission. 50,000 miles. In my case, it seems to happen anywhere between 30+ MPH (but it doesn't happen all the time). If I take my foot off the accelera...

Re: (djkeev)

That's funny. We are actually looking at some places in Greenfield. Also, Greenwood. I was born in Richmond but no way I am going back there to live.. there is nothing there! Indiana is basically home for me and both the wife and myself have family there. We will be renting for 6 months but when/if ...

The car spent the first 3000 miles of its life in New York, then promptly made its way down here to NC. So New York must have front plate laws. Thanks Jake, I won't throw it away.. just hoping I can find something to cover the holes before I take it off. I really hate how front plates ruin the appear...

Re: (jake75)

Don't mind.Car was listed at 11,998. Wasn't a whole lot of wiggle room on their side. The max I wanted to pay was the list, and eventually we came to that deal. No tax, no tag, no $399 document fee. Well, the price of the car itself was dropped to account for all those things.. I think around $11,3x...

Anyone running the Pioneer FH-P8000BT unit?

Just wanted to get people reviews of this HU if you're using it. Seems like a good deal for the money. Specific to the Vibe, curious how this unit does with the factory speakers (I do not have the M&S package) and how the fit and finish of the device is after installation. Thanks!Kirk

CRX is going to be sold. I was first looking ag picking up a late 90's Cherokee, then the CRX would have been kept for a DD to save on gas. Now that I got the utility and MPG in one package, no need for it. They are fun cars but it's an 87 (first gen) and parts are getting harder to find. I've had 4...

Re: Looking at 06 Vibe today - questions (abigbadzebra)

Well, I bought it last night. Don't usually buy from dealerships but the salesperson wasn't a bull****ter and I didn't mind paying more for something in this condition. This was a certified pre-owned so I get another year bumper to bumper warranty. Didn't buy (never buy) the extended warranty. Here ...

Looking at 06 Vibe today - questions

I'm going to go take a look at a 2006 Vibe (base) today. 27,000 miles. Been looking for versatile car for a while that still gets good MPG. A friend owns a Vibe and recommended it to me. The Vibe I am going to look at is an automatic. While reading consumer reviews on Edmunds I read a few things abo...
