I was told that the Vibe has a "special" oil filter that was a full $10 Canadian more than the average "Sunfire" filter. I thought that was odd. I went to a local 15min lube place and they looked in their books. There was no indication that a special filter was needed. WHO'S NOT ...

Thanks for the quick reply by the way. The sound seems to eminate from the driver's side near the front beam. That's the general location. I've tried pressing down on the chrome accents as was suggested by others but no success. Imagine, I can hear the crackling over the radio at medium volume level...
