I bet the lock mech hasn't changed much...yours showed a good view of the inside of the assembly. I can hear it, see the top of the cable respond, but it is not unlatching so it must be in the lock assembly itself. I tried both electronic locking and key lock. Neither is doing it. Thanks.

2006, the diagram is good-I'll have to study it. I can see the top of the cable assembly and it responds when I pull on the handle and I can hear a locking/unlocking sound. But it kinda looks like what I might need to "feel" is enclosed in the lock assembly, between the two diagrams I rece...

I can reach down in there, but don't know what the mechanism looks like--feeling my way. Any diagram of the inside of that lift back avail? I don't want to try to remove the entire thing. I have just the small rectangular openeing where the light connection is popped off.
