Do i have to worry about offset? what is it, and has it changed recently? its the 1.8 base with auto in mystic blue, i love it!

Hi I want to get a set of steel rims for my 09 Vibe for 16" snow tires. The problem is i cant afford TPMS wheels or sensors so i want to get them installed on regular rims.What bolt pattern do i need? What older cars without TPMS use the sanme wheel? is this the same as older Vibes? or Corolas?...
