Re: Aftermarket Wheel Gallery (Houston)

OK, since the unseasonably warm weather here has allowed me to remove my winter tires a couple months early, I figured I would post up the details of my normal driving tire/rim combo.Rims: ADR J-cross, 7x17", 40mm offsetTires: Yokohama AVID V4S, 225/55/17I went with the taller profile for comfo...

Re: (vibolista)

Do you know if Mad Bill lowered his car as well or is that the stock ride height? I think those tires and that profile look terrific, and while I am not 58 like you guys I am partial to the old 'tubbed' look of the old hot rods so perhaps that is a reason Bill's Vibe appeals to me.

Wow, those meats really make the Vibe look more menacing! I have 17's for my regular tires but with the stock suspension and ride height, I have a similar 'SUV' look that your Vibe does. Which is fine with me since I don't drive too aggressive as I have motorcycles for that. And thanks for sharing th...

Thanks for the informative posts vibolista. I was just about to do a search to see if the stock steelies would fit a 215/60 winter tire since my brother's car was stolen and someone has to use those brand new snowies!

Re: (audiovibe)

Sublime, I checked out Partsexpress and was wondering what the prevailing thoughts were on damping sprays? I saw audiovibe's thread and he used the shiney sheet stuff (dynamax?) but sprays seem fairly common and likely easier to install.I am just in the planning stage and am willing to put in a litt...

Touchscreen question

OK, so I have found the receiver I want and searching this forum it sounds like the double din will work; and potentially without any mounting kit. Unbolt the stocker and in goes the new unit.My question is for the people who have large LCD's or touchscreens: how important is temperature for these t...

Re: Lurker's first post

Thanks for the welcome! It is my first car in many years so I was a little nervous about pulling the trigger; I am much more comfortable with motorcycles. But with my 'winter' bike in the shop I figured it was time to get something comfy and warm.

Lurker's first post

I figured I would say hello (Hello!) since I have been lurking as a guest for a couple of months and just bought a used Vibe. I am pretty excited; I did my homework on this site when I was still trying to narrow down my vehicle choices, and then finally signed up once I knew I was going to be come a...
