Hi Guys/Ladies...:) Haven't been on in a long while, mainly b/c I've had no issues! However, my poor baby has a serious problem now & I'm wondering if I can get your opinions as to what it might be? It's been getting progressively worse over the last month, but I feel like it's been building up ...
Those were gross/funny & helpful! I think I'll take the cowling off & put some screening in there. I definitely don't want mummified baby mice next winter!
Thx! As you know, it was a piece of cake...so easy, a man could do it! Quote, originally posted by cptnsolo77 »Cool! The first time I cleaned the MAF I noticed better throttle response. It was a bit dirty & im sure it was never cleaned before. I clean it about twice a year just for good measure ...
You know, I've had this high idle thing since I got the car & I've never once had an engine light come on...if I did, it would @ least point me in a direction! ~sigh~Quote, originally posted by J_TO_ENVY »On a bit of a side note, I cleaned our MAF/IAT sensors today. The Vibes do seem to idle a ...
Invariably, I wind up with men that are vehicularly challenged. Has anyone replaced theirs? Doing some more Googling, my high idle problem may be that...but I'd like to know if it's straightforward to do by oneself? I don't have a book, but I do a lot of my own work.
It definitely did...temporarily. I don't think that the MAF was my problem. I've also tuned it up a couple of times, replaced all filters & the O2 sensor appears to be fine. Perhaps I just need to adjust the idle...~sigh~
I've had a long standing high idle issue, which I've tried to deal with in various ways, but nothing has really fixed it. I'm open to new ideas if anyone has any...I thought I'd post my photo log of cleaning the MAF, since many women seem to feel intimidated by doing easy, but specialized work on th...
So, my new baby(name suggestions accepted) just got a new set of Kumho JU25s, 215/50/17s. I was feeling really good about them the first few days, but now...notsomuch. Yesterday and today, on dry, winter pavement, they have been juddering as I pull off from a stop @ a light or stop sign. Now, I'm aw...

I'm going to a resort just outside of Guardalavaca, where I went nearly 2yrs ago, called Playa Pesquero. The people are wonderful, as is the area... Thx! It was actually about 6mnths of serious looking and 5yrs of wanting. It's the first time I've ever gotten exactly the car I wanted, so I'm jazzed... I did post them now, btw...see above!
I despise snow! I don't ski, hate the cold and can't stand hockey...I'm really, quite a bad Canadian. I'm off to Cuba in a couple of weeks, for a week, before I leave for BC...went to Jamaica in October, too. I'd much rather lie on a beach than be anywhere else.I can, however, drink like a fish...so...
If you do, talk to Dennis...it was his cottage. He's been there for >20yrs, so I doubt he's going anywhere!I did, and NB has amazing highways...all brand new and smooth, along with a higher speed limit! And stick is the only way to go. Midwife...Hence wanting the Vibe...fold flat front seat is great for quick note taking for calls and paperwork...tie downs in the trunk are needed for strapping down my birth bag, O2 tanks, etc...ETA: And standard is important so I can ALWAYS start my car!
Thanks for that info! I do like a couple of other colours, but they seem even harder to find! I'd love Envy (But that's only '03 and impossible to find!) and I'd be good with Salsa, Abyss or Silver...I've recently seen a brown one and an icy blue one...but I have no idea if they are original colours...
I've been wanting a Vibe since '03, but haven't had the ability to get one till recently...which I'm very happy about!Because I'm well versed as to the car itself, I get very irritated when dealers list Vibes as 'loaded' and they are simply base with a power package or some such thing. It also ticks...
