Re: Exhaust Noise? (ragingfish)

No, it works unrelated to Climate Control. But thanks. I am thinking something like 02 sensor gasket, or something like that. The regular warranty is just about up, so with the exhaust ruled out, the powertrain would cover manifold or head gasket if that were the case. At least I hope it would!! Hop...

Life of Goodyear Eagle Tires

Hello,Just took my winter tires of and put my Original Goodyears back on. They don't look or drive too well. My car has 55 000 km on it, (32 k miles.) Are these just crappy tires, or is this just the life expectancy of these tires? THanksJames

Exhaust Noise?

Greetings,I have an 03' base Vibe with 55, 000 km on it. When under load, I have a noise that sounds an awful lot like a tiny exhaust leak. Took it to the dealer and they couldn't find anything. It is a hissing sort of sound made when the engine is under load. Any ideas? Thanks in Advance

Re: How many miles on your Vibes? (silverawd26)

I have put 26, 000 km on it in less than 6 months. 2 trips to Montreal, One trip to Michigan. With another trip to Michigan next week and a trip to Florida at Christmas, I will be through my warranty in just a little over a year. Not a problem yet, other than the paper thin paint job. Lots of little...

Re: Kayak Carriers (6th Gear)

Thanks for the info. What did all that cost you? If you don't mind my asking. Did you purchase it locally or on line? I was born in Royal Oak and lived there until I was 11, and will be back visiting in a month. Thanks for the info

Re: Roof Top Carriers (Kangaroooski)

Thanks for your reply. I would like to see a picture of that basket. I see you have a hidden hitch. Have you tried hauling a trailer? Where did you get the hitch at? How much? I live in New Brunswick, Canada, but will be in the Detroit area next month. I grew up in Royal Oak and Commerce Township: A...

Roof Top Carriers

Greetings,I am doing my first summer travelling with my Vibe, and find it great for camping, etc. However, I have ended up buying some stuff at garage sales, (deals too good to pass up) and find myself with not enough cargo room. Does anyone know what roof top carriers work with these cars. I looked...

Re: Roof Top Carriers (KSNeptune)

Hi,I already tried that, but he base still protrudes into the bottom. It looks like I will have to drill a hole about the size of a quarter in the bottom of a new car top carrier. Just wondering if there were some that didn't have much space behind the rear brackets so it would not be an issue. Also...

Idling

Hello,I have had my Vibe for a month and a half, and have put 8000 km (5000 mi) on it. I have noticed that when i push the clutch in, the idle stays up at around 1500-2000 rpm for about 45 seconds or so before dropping down. The only thing that has changed is the temperature. When I bought it it was...

Re: How is the vibe for tall drivers? Seat Comfort? (progvmac)

I am 6'5" and my son is 6'7". I can sit in the driver's seat and he can sit behind me. Mind you I have to put the seat up a bit to make that happen, but I can drive quite comfortably with the seat up a bit. My usual position is with the seat fully back and slightly reclined so I don't hit ...

Re: How many miles a year do you drive? (robdog)

I have had my Vibe one month tomorrow and have put 6,500 km (around 4000 miles) on it so far. At that pace, I will be through the warranty in no time. So far not a bit of trouble and We have had some very challenging weather-Extreme cold (-50 wind chill) Ice storm, blizzards, mud, you name it, and t...

Re: It's me again (VibeyWannaBe)

Hi,I just bought a Vibe. I am 6'5" and my son is 6'7" and we both fit in it just fine-Both front and back. It is very comfortable as well. A great car for tall people. It works a bit going up hills, but you just have to shift. I have been keeping the revs down during the break in. A little...

Re: Hatch doesn't close in cold weather (Sputnik)

So far, that is the only "bug" I have found in my car. The day I bought it, Valentine's day, school was closed due to a -50c wind chill. It just started to warm up today! I too will try the silicone and see if that helps.
