Driver's side low beam out, high beams work

Five days to get this fixed so that it remains a warning, not a violation.I know i should check fuses, and power at the bulb terminal. . . what else should I check to see if I can fix this myself? Based on some previous discussion (http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=37043), sounds like it's not...

Re: (brbo)

Ok so i got the Eagle - GT's. Tryin to take it easy for the first 50 mi or so, that can be hard sometimes. THe tires have a deep tread - like something you'd see on a truck. I have no idea how they were able to get high performance ratings, but it seems like these tires will be good in the snow or i...

Thanks for yall's responses! As far as I know, none of the tires i've listed are "high mileage tires" - but it looked like they have decent performance on wet and dry roads. If i can have those two things, then a tire that lasts longer is nicer. It seems like performance tires trade pure g...

Re: vibe needs some new tires (NibCrom)

The tires i have that I hate are goodyear eagle RSA. I'm looking at HRI fusion, but am slightly worried about tread life vs how much i spend. THey are warrantied for 40k miles vs slightly more expensive tires that are warrantied for 60k or more. Is that warranty just becasue they are "preforman...

vibe needs some new tires

My vibe needs some new tires, the stock ones are going bald and i don't like them. For me, i want something with low rolling resistance (better gas mileage) and good performance, ride isn't as important. I"m looking at the following tires, do any of yall have thoughts on these or suggestions. I...

Re: 06 Intake Manifold is destroying itself - advice? (Sublimewind)

Sublime - thanks! I just got a call from the pontiac dealer, they said that nothing was wrong with the car - that it was a normal noise made by the purge solenoid turning on and off quickly. The noise is coming from the opposite side of the belt tensioner (or so say the mechanics) - it is near the a...

Re: (Silversn95)

Hmm silversn - thats an interesting idea. I'm scheduled to take it to the pontiac dealer this coming tuesday, hopefully they will have a good idea about if its under warranty or not. If anyone wants to hear audio, I took a few audio files, but have not found a good way to put them on the internet (p...

Re: 06 Intake Manifold is destroying itself - advice? (keithvibe)

Wow guys, please keep responses coming. Interesting yall say it might be the gasket. . . I don't think they actually opened up the intake and looked at the IM - they used some sort of techno-ear to listen to the noise. I asked if they could open it up and look inside and see if they could take out w...

06 Intake Manifold is destroying itself - advice? UPDATE: clicking probably made by solenoid valve

Hi all! Sorry my first post here is a "help me!", but nothing to be done about that. I've had my vibe for about 9 months now, and no problems. However, last week (after it got really really cold), I noticed that the engine was making this wierd clacking noise, and I smelled what I *thought...
