Re: steering wheel shaking

Just wanted to say thanks! You all were spot on. Drove my Vibe today (temps were in the low 40s) & had no further issues.

Thanks again!

Re: steering wheel shaking

Thanks; I will try this. I think this may be the issue, because three of the four plastic hub caps were not on so, more ice/snow probably got in around the wheels during the storm.

Thanks.

Re: steering wheel shaking

Thanks alot.

Would you recommend that I take the wheels off to thoroughly clear out the ice & snow?

steering wheel shaking

Hi - Got four new tires 1 year ago. Also replaced front brakes (pads & rotors) the same month. No issues. A few days ago, I checked the tire pressure & put air in all four tires. I did not use the vehicle for 2 days due to a blizzard. When I took the vehicle out after the storm, the steering...

Re: Rough idle

Thanks for the suggestion. None of the plugs needed to be gapped, but I did check them all prior to installing them. The coil pack is $100 or so. Like you said, it might be worthwhile to install the old plugs and see if the idle improves. I also agree that the new plugs should make the engine work &...

Re: Rough idle

In my original post, I forgot to mention that my neighbor (who is very mechanically inclined) came over while I was changing the plugs. He smelled gas on the plugs and believes the injectors are probably leaking. He stated that eventually this will cause trouble starting the vehicle, and they will h...

Rough idle

Hello, 2005 Vibe with 133,000 miles. Changed the plugs and noticed the spark plug and boot #1 (#1 being the far left when standing at the front of the vehicle looking at the engine) had oil on them. Changed the vale cover gasket to address the oil issue. Used Denso iridium plugs (original were NGK)....

rear brakes

Hi:I have a 2005 Vibe with about 65,000 miles. I have not changed the front or rear brakes. I have a scraping noise coming from the rear brakes only when they are applied. I have pulled the drums and there is plenty of thickness on the shoes. This noise seems worst when the vehicle is cold and or it...
