Bypass or remove AC pump to increase mpg, anyone done it?
On my last car a 2001 Taurus the AC pump froze up and I went the cheap route and installed a bypass pulley. The guy at Advanced Auto said this would increase my mpg, by making it easier on the engine since the pump is activated even when the heat is turned on. Is this true, or would simply disconnec...
