Re: Finally a good Fix! (Window Bezel)

This is certainly an ingenious fix, and I was all set to try it but my window bezel has a LOT of wear. Turns out you can order the Toyota part 74232-01030 from Amazon for only $15.93. According to customer comments, this works on the Vibe and it certainly looks the same. I just ordered it today and...

Re: Oil Leak Near Oil Pan and Transmission (star_deceiver)

I am quite sure the original leak was from the oil pan, but not sure about the new leak. I have considered the rear main oil seal as the culprit, but that option is too expensive and complicated. Please come up with a cheaper and simpler solution:-)I guess even though I don't really trust them, I'll...

Oil Leak Near Oil Pan and Transmission

I took my 2003 base Vibe to the dealer for a brake check, and they told me I had a leak coming from the oil pan. I took it home and checked, and sure enough it was leaking there and I could see some gasket sealant coming out. So, I drained the oil and took off the filter, took off the oil pan (the 2...

Re: Brake Drum Removal (lovemyraffe)

Take it to a repair shop for a free brake inspection (they'll have to remove the drums, yes?). Decline their outrageous brake repair estimate. Now you should be able to remove the drums yourself.
