06’ Dome Light Replacement Switch

I camp in my Vibe a lot and I have broken both of my dome light switches. I turn them off so that when I open the door in the middle of the night the lights do not come on. The little plastic tabs that hold them in snapped. Where can I find replacements?

You can't just use a jumper wire, It will mess with the air bag system. I used a jumper wire on the passenger seat and the air bag light statys on. I did it because when I put the whitwater kayak in the car it pushed against the seat the the car thinks a person is in the passenger seat. Turning off ...

I did a search for "AWD spring" and found this thread http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=32315 on how to change the srings out. I am too lazy to do it. I think I have spring blocks on a shelf in the shop that I could try.

I haven't had time to try the spring blocks yet and lowering the car is not an option. I have actually thought of jacking up the car to increase the off road capibility. I do a lot of whitewater kayaking and the parking is not always nice.

Rearend sagging, Coil Spring Boosters?

I do a lot of hauling With my Vibe and the rear end always sags a bit. Has anyone put in the little blocks to help stiffen the rear springs? The springs are so tiny, the valve springs on my racecar are bigger! Will the standard spring boosters even fit?

Re: (DRLs68)

It took a quart of gin and a sixpack of beer last time a friend and I rebuilt his Q-jet. Don't forget to epoxy the plugs in the bottom of the carb. Then are prone to leaking.

Re: (VforVIBE)

I haul my whitewater kayak in the back all the time, keeps it from getting stollen off of the rack. It is also quicker than strapping it down and saves a little on gas.

5 kayaks on my Vibe

Well, I had my Vibe for less than a month and have already made a rack for it, and put it to the test this weekend while kayaking in WV.The rack does not hang over the edge of the car unless the extension bars are slid out which almost doubles the width of the rack. We could have fit six or seven bo...
