I just noticed that I get the same noise coming from under the Vibe when I park it and put the transmission in neutral (I have a manual transmission) and then turn the car off. When the motor shakes as it shuts off it starts to squeak. Maybe it is a motor mount or something that needs to be lubricat...

Did you ever figure out how to fix the ticking noise coming from your Vibe glovebox? I just found this article and my 2003 Vibe GT just started doing this after I used the AC for the first time this year. Any help would be appreciated.
