Surprisingly, the hood didn't have a mark on it! Heck.. the rear door only had a scuff in the paint! Thanks! I'm glad to be mostly intact myself! Having a bit of trouble with my left leg and foot, but alive! Joatmon, where did you find all that carnage??

I have to admit... these Vibes are pretty tough! At least as far as the structural integraty of the passenger compartment goes. Not only would I own another... I do! I may replace my 04 when money is a bit better and might go the Supercharged 5 speed route this time.

I was very lucky to not be killed. The guy ran a red light and t-bone me going 60mph! I am being treated for the whiplash and am having trouble with my left leg and foot. But I get to wake up every morning and that I am very thankful for!

Did you get a letter telling you of the recall? If so, I think I would try a different dealer! What year is your Vibe? I'm thinking the recall was on 03 and 04 Vibes only. Seems to be the same issue with later model years too, Maybe they are next to get the recall. Good luck!

I couldn't help my self, I had to tear it apart and see what went wrong.....couldn't remember how to put picture in post so open the attachment and see the teeth missing right where the smaller black gear engages the large white gear...missing teeth!

I got my recall a week and a half ago. Looking for the repair bill to fix my "rattle" at a body shop. They should reimburse my expenses I guess I will see how that works out!

When I was checking into replacement tires, I found that same issue. The tripple treads do not get the gas mileage, but are suppose to be a fantastic all season tire. I tried Michelin X-Ice on the Metro and my mileage did not change and I was highly impressed with the traction! That Metro was a tank...
