Re: (isaaclud)

The hesitation I mention is more of a loss of the throttle for 2-5 seconds. It's like I accelerate normally up to the 35-40mph range then the car kind of bucks and the tac goes from 1500rpm's down to like 1000rpm's then jumps around in that range for as long as 5 seconds (so far). I haven't played a...

Re: (isaaclud)

At your next gas fill completely fill your tank per the instructions on this post, don't overfill like I did. Zero out your trip odometer. Drive until your tank low light comes on and get to a gas station. Record the mileage on your trip odometer and fill your tank as per the instructions on this po...

Re: (ke4yyd)

Did the dealer do this without complaints? Mine does this wander thing to. I also have this weird noise like a low hum at exactly the 39.5 mph mark. I called the dealer and they said some tires create a humming sound at certain speeds because of inherent balance issues. I suspected it might be somet...

Re: Gas milage report (ke4yyd)

I'm getting exactly the same mileage as you. How's it going on the hesitation thing at 35-40 mph. Mine did it again last night and it's unnerving me to know I spent $19K on a car and it exhibits problems that the dealer passes off as normal.

Re: Gas milage report (engineertwin2)

I did the same thing as the poster on my last two fills. Thanks for the advice. With the price of gas today we sure don't need to be returning profits back into their tank!

Re: Hesitation event.................. (ke4yyd)

Think you posted "A request to Vibe owners". I concur with the poster that said the drive-by-wire system that controls the throttle is causing the problem. Take it back to the dealer and tell them you suspect the throttle is not calibrated correctly or that the throttle sensor is suspect. ...

Re: A request to Vibe owners (VoodooVibe)

I'm beginning to think the drive-by-wire system is the culprit as well. Was driving last night in the 35-40 range and suddenly I lost RPM's (from 3k down to about 1k). Took about 5 seconds for the car to return to normal RPM for that speed. Like the original poster, I don't feel like the dealer is g...

So would you recommend that we owners with this mallady just learn to live with it?

Re: A request to Vibe owners (ke4yyd)

My vibe is only 2 weeks old with 500 miles and I already noticed the very problem you describe. It's like the tranny disconnects as it's hunting for a shift. In addition I'm already having the starting problem many others speak of on this forum as well. To make things worse it also sounds like the d...
