Re: Beeping reverse and performance - Vibe GT owners (Jerico)

Yes the beeping in reverse *WAS* driving me nuts. I felt like I was driving a local sanitation truck. And, I could understand the implementation if it warned people outside the car that I was going in reverse, but--no--seems it was there to warn ME that I was in reverse. I believe the current respon...

Re: GT Transmission Warning on http://www.womanmotorist.com (Keely)

Just to throwin my $.02. As I said previously in another place, the 6 speed on my GT is much easier to shift than my Mercedes-Benz 230 Sport Coupe's. (The 230's shifts are just a little too close. There's nothing more exciting than downshifting to 5th at 80+ mph and hitting THIRD instead !!!...you l...

Sound Enhancement in Vibe

As others have posted on this forum, I found the stock speakers in my Vibe GT ( I went with the base CD/Radio and 4 speakers to allow me room to customize later) somewhat "muddy" sounding. I know the Matrix has 6 speakers including door pillar tweeters but my first test drive was in a Matr...

Re: Thinking of getting Vibe (NSimkins)

Ditto, for me. 700 mi. so far. No problems (knock on wood) and the GT gets sweeter every day. And just a heck of a lot of fun to drive. Go for it!

Re: Why not the Matrix??? How'd u choose? (NSimkins)

I choose the Vibe GT because1)$1500 Rebate and lower interest rate made Vibe w/more standard equipment competitive2) Local dealer was more helpful than local Toyota volume dealer3) IMHO the Vibe just looks sharper, Matrix is, well, dullAs always, just my $.02

Re: What is "Notchy?" (NSimkins)

Interesting. I had read that review before getting my GT. I figured it was something I'd have to live with. My previous vehicle was a MB C230 Sport Coupe. I guess I was just lucky. My GT has a smoother, quicker shift than my MB. The words "smooth" and "buttery" come to mind.Have ...

OK, just did my first Vibe GT wash, Meguire's gel and bucket (do paint, change water, do rest) And, to continue the GenVibe tradition of going OT in the same post: Yank,Love your "standard equipment" list Are there pics of same somewhere on this board? I'm thinking replace the radio/CD soo...

Re: The Satellite has landed (rasermon)

Yes, I am enjoying the GT more all the time. I decided to go with the two tone a)I think the dark grey looks good with silver b)I wanted to save some money for other goodies. But it was a tough decision. The monotone is sharp as well.

The Satellite has landed

Just got my new Satellite GT yesterday. Great ride. I am getting my subwoofer put in next week. I just finished my first wax job (Meguire's Cleaner Wax) and will put their Carnauba wax on in the morning. This is one fantastic little machine.

Protecting new finish?

I'm expecting to receive my new Satellite GT tomorrow. I've heard the opinions about waiting 6 mos, etc before waxing. My question is, given that the next 6 months will take me pretty much through winter, would it be advisable to use something like Nufinish to protect the car finish w/o waxing?TIA
