Wheels Needed

I have a 2004 Vibe, and one of the wheels is bent. I am looking for a set of usable aluminum wheels (they do not have to be perfect). Located in NJ in case anyone sees this.

Re: Epic Fail head unit install

We did a lot of research, and Crutchfield knows that people with older (non-classic) cars will be very price conscious with respect to a car audio / Android Auto / Apple Carplay receiver. They recommended the Boss Audio BE9ACP unit- which is the least expensive option they offer but researching it- ...

Re: Epic Fail head unit install

I will add that I *really* wanted a head unit that had a knob to adjust the volume, so it could be attenuated without looking. The models with that feature were much more expensive, so we caved on that requirement. The volume can be changed using the keyword "Hey Google, Volume To 6" for e...

Re: Epic Fail head unit install

Hi- of course. We used Crutchfield since they offer lifetime customer service on any equipment that is purchased from them. They assisted me in purchasing the Pioneer DMH-W3000NEX and the recommended backup camera. The installation also required a plastic mounting bracket / adapter, as well as a wir...

Re: new owner of 06 Vibe w/214K

Well- the cars I ended up with somehow are (or were) gaining in value and I really treasure them- so it makes way more sense to purchase lifts that allow me to work on and store cars (without spending money on monthly car storage). I could probably sell everything in my garage in a weekend if I need...

Re: Epic Fail head unit install

My son and I removed the poorly functioning stock stereo in our 2004 Vibe, and replaced it with a Pioneer DMH-W3000NEX and the backup camera that Crutchfield recommended. We also ordered a prebuilt wiring harness from them (we are more than capable of soldering, but this was my son's first (and mayb...

Re: Water Leak in 2004 Vibe

Sorry I vanished, I got locked out of my account here... Thank you again for all of the advice- I successfully stopped the leak- although I'm really not 100% sure where it was exactly. I removed the rubber trim on the roof to inspect the seam / seam sealer as well as the interface inthe front top co...

Re: Water Leak in 2004 Vibe

We purchased some flowable silicone sealant and diligently cleaned and sealed the top of the windshield- but overnight rain entered the car (again)- so that was not the source of the leak. The only other possible entry points in the vicinity of the leak are the sunroof and the roof rack bolts. As pr...

Re: Water Leak in 2004 Vibe

THANK YOU FOR THIS!!! Hard to believe that the windshield could wick water that far away from the entry point. My car is leaking in the exact same spot (to a lesser degree). I have owned the car for 6 months (and we LOVE this thing)- so I have no idea whether the windshield is original or not. Are t...

Re: Water Leak in 2004 Vibe

Thank you both for your replies and comments! I do not have a picture of the wet spot, but it is 100% identical to the picture posted above (but on the passenger side of the car). I will closely inspect the windshield interface and will add some sort of sealant to that channel that is in the upper c...

Blackstone Labs... yes- I think I'll do that in a few weeks.

Thank you for the suggestion.

Re: Water Leak in 2004 Vibe

Thank you for the kind reply! I did read every post in the referenced thread, and I do not think the leak is coming from the windshield. I took the plastic A-pillar trim off, and if the leak were coming from the windshield- there would be water evident on or in the A-pillar. It appears to be coming ...

Re: oil leak

I'm not sure how much traffic this site gets (I'm new here) but I'm replying to my own post- in case it helps anyone else in the future. After running the car low on oil (due to an oil filter that loosened itself) I tightened the filter and filled the oil to full. It seems to be running fine- and ha...

Re: oil leak

I woke up to find a huge oil mess under our 113kmi 2004 Vibe this morning. I put it up on jackstands, and thankfully the issue was that the oil filter was not tight. My 17 year-old son drove the car a few miles with it leaking, so hopefully we didn't cause too much damage. When we filled the oil- io...

Re: new owner of 06 Vibe w/214K

We were looking for a reliable, safe, affordable first car for my 17 year-old son. I'm a car fanatic, but he's not :( so if he wants to get around- he has to purchase his own car (and manage repairs, and upkeep). I told him I'll help him a little with the cost of the car and insurance (I paid half) ...

Water Leak in 2004 Vibe

Hi- I'm new here, and recently purchased a 110kmi 2004 Vibe. It has the "Moon and Tunes" package (which is a sunroof and supposedly upgraded stereo). The sunroof was retired from usage prior to my purchase (it was siliconed shut, and the fuse pulled). I paid very little for the car, and fi...
