Re: 2005 Vibe Totalled (NascarXprt)

My opinion is that it's not totaled. Unfortunately, the insurance company probably has some weighting related to vehicle cost and repair cost. The vehicle isn't a year old yet and to repair it would amount to spending 3/4 the value of the car. Logic and math bode against their fixing it. That leaves...

2005 Vibe Totalled (everyone's fine)

I haven't been here that long...but now I have some bad news to share. My VIBE bit the dust at "vibe-owner-error" accident. Yep, I goofed and that's all I've got to say about that. Everyone came out unscratched. The steering column air-bag did it's trick, though a bit low on the aim. It hi...

I too am glad to hear the evidence of the vortex. I keep seeing it and the 'marketing claims', but I don't think that I've read an actual unbiased review.Tyke

Re: Lights tied into door entry?? (binary)

Posting the pics...I'll get there. Similar to you, the cold has restricted my outside exposure. ...and the holidays makes for long days. If pictures makes this posting more worth-while to you, then I'll push the photos as soon as I can. As mentioned in previous post, I followed illustrations from ot...

Re: What *thing* do you always have in your Vibe? (konabri)

Great topic. I have all of the regular stuff: towels, wax, tire shine, tools, flashlight, sunglasses, flares, and MORE stuff. I think the thing that I have in my Vibe that's the most NON car related ever is a patch of cloth that a friend gave to me as a rememberance. I put it in the glove compartmen...

Re: Lights tied into door entry?? (djb383)

I chose to use a plastic scraper that I had used to patch my drywall. I pryed outward from the bottom. The first time I pulled that vent out, I took quite a bit of care because I didn't know how much I could pull at it. Turns out that there's about three inches of give in the wire from the bottom di...

Re: Pics of my new 06 Vibe (MassiveOverkill)

Very nice looking black-on-black rigging. Was that factory spec or aftermarket tinting?I am also happy to see that there's not much of a difference from the 2005 Vibe...particularly since I just bought mine back in August. Tyke

Re: Lights tied into door entry?? (joatmon)

First off....THANK YOU!I finally found the thirty minutes needed to get the job done. ...and now it's done. The lights are installed and properly connected. I chose to use the red/black wire on the dimmer control. I wanted ANY door to cause the lights to illuminate. Just as you indicated, the red/bl...

Lights tied into door entry??

Hello all. This is a wonderful forum. I'm a three-month old owner of a base model 2005. I'm interested in putting some LED lights in the foot area of the front driver/passenger area that is controlled by the door entry (opening a door) and by the interior lighting switch on the left front panel. Is ...
